Only negative is the amount of amps the cell puts out in full sun. The specs call for 1.2 amps at but in reality all I could get was .85 amps at 22 volts. This is only a slight ding because with the sale price of $99 this is a bargain with the charge controller and the cabling included. It is a well made unit and packaged very well for shipment. More then adequate for keeping hand held electronics charged.

I'm homeless and needed a solar system to charge my simultaneously connected 12v battery's for my area. Haven't had to take them in to be charged since. Thanks yall

Works great

I bought this charger to charge up a spare 12-volt battery for camping use. It was delivered on time without any damage. Packaging was very good. The product was exactly as advertised. There are plenty of wiring options for any particular need. I had mine wired and charging my battery in about 10 minutes. It is rather large and heavy, so pay attention to the dimensions.

Good solar charger

Great

I installed this unit on the roof of my RV storage building to maintain the house batteries. I did a bench test in the back yard using 2 Trojan 125 batteries and after 10 days was satisfied that battery voltage was being maintained. I then installed the panel on the roof of my metal building with the panel axis East and West so as to take advantage of the full arc of the Sun. Install was simple drilled pilot holes for the 4 fasteners and an entry hole for the 12' power cord. Ran the wire down the truss using plastic ties every 2'. Attached power cord to the charge controller and to the battery using eyelets. (I found it necessarry to cut the wires to battery terminals and install connectors. This is so when I leave the building I just disconnect the connectors and leave the charge controller and power cord attached to the building)
The set up is maintaining the charge on my 4 6 volt AGM house batteries at 13V or better. Batteries were charged to 13 V when I stored the motor home. Prior to using the solar panel house batteries would slowly deplete about .3 volts every 7-10 days. Now this is not a problem and I'm confident that I will not damage batteries by allowing them to discharge below 50%.
Tech support from Fernando and Simon has been excellent on the questions I posed before and after purchase.

!8 watt solar panel/ 7 amp charge controller

I bought this to recharge a 12V battery I'm using in my car to power an Endless Breeze 12V fan (also an excellent buy). I checked the dimensions of this solar panel prior to purchase to make sure it had room to sit on the dashboard of my Corolla, which it does. I've only used it a few times, but it has apparently fully recharged my battery each time. (Make sure to use the included voltage regulator to avoid potentially over-charging your battery.) I'm enjoying using my first "entry" into the world of green energy!

Great (smaller) solar panel

I HAVE FOUND THIS PANEL AND ALL ACC IN GOOD SHAPE AND EASY TO INSTALL SOME PARTS WERE NOT NEEDED FOR MY INSTALL I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IT MADE EASYIER TO ADD ANOTHER WITH A BUILT IN PLUG TO LINK TOGETHER .

Purchased online, and panel arrived with a crack.  Used it anyway, as I was 'off the grid', and needed power.  Turns out the voltage regulator was defective, as I had power coming from panel, but none from regulator.  Made it thru trip without using regulator.  Returned to store, and Customer Service was great.  Purchased another unit, and will try it this weekend.  Believe product is a good one; I just had bad luck.

Ordered this item and only recieved the panel, no hardware. Make sure to check carefully when you take receipt of the package.
