Needed a larger container for water for my son for his school extracurricular activities during this pandemic with the water fountains being closed... this is perfect! It's big enough without being too cumbersome. (Standard water bottles were too small. He was carrying a full gallon of water, but it was too much, he was only drinking half.) This cooler jug keeps the water cold all day. I would highly recommend!

Love it!! I drink so much more water now. I grew up playing tennis with these water bottles and now they're so nostalgic. In the summers off from school, I remember the days I'd wake up early and go to practice, taking water breaks frequently in the beaming sun. Every morning, my dad would fill my water bottle up before I left. The ice cubes and splash of fresh squeezed lemon every morning remained glacier cold throughout the afternoon. It reminded me that I was loved and someone thought about me enough to make it special. It was always coleman bottles that I associate with a reminder of my father's love throughout growing up

the size is perfect for me. The 1/2 gallon capacity holds enough water to get me through a few hours without having to constantly refill. It's not too bulky or heavy, even when full, which is a huge plus. I highly recommend the Coleman 1/2 Gallon Jug Bail Handle. It's a durable, no-fuss water jug that gets the job done. It's the perfect size for my daily needs, and the bail handle makes it incredibly easy to transport.

This is almost identical to the Coleman Jug I had for years and hated to discard when the spout was damaged. the old jug had a rubber ring sealing the top and an O ring sealing the spout.
The new jug does not have the rubber ring sealing the top and must be tightened with more force than the old one or it leaks when tipped over.
In my opinion, even though more precise manufacturing of the new jug let them eliminate the rubber seal they should have kept it because the old jug sealed with less force.

Leaks if you don't screw the lid very tight

Like everyone else we have a hard time finding a jug that doesn't leak. My daughter has only used this for one week, but so far so good. The handle does seem a little flimsy -- like it could easily break. But so far we are happy.

My half-gallon jug did not leak.  It pours well and appears to hold a full half-gallon.  It doesn't keep water cold as long as I would like.  I put lots of ice in the jug at 6 am and by noon all the ice had melted.  However, the water was never warm or room temperature.  It stayed at least cool all day.  And that's my only negative.  It should have better insulation.

This Coleman jug is perfect for outdoor activities. It keeps drinks cold for hours, even in hot weather, and it doesn't leak no matter how much it gets tossed around. The handle makes it super easy to carry, and it's lightweight even when full. Cleaning it is quick and hassle-free, which is great after long days outside.

This is an inexpensive water jug.  It does not have a watertight seal, none of the inexpensive models do, so they are all prone to minor leakage, a few drops, from the threads that hold the top that is screwed  on the jug.  But for the money, it was exactly what I expected.

For the money it serves the purpose.

Coleman Consumer Care

This product leaks unless it is kept vertical. The lid has a groove where one might expect there to be a rubber seal but there is nothing. I thought maybe I had bought an imperfect model but I have checked in several stores over the past year and all the products are the same. How this can be sold as leak-proof is beyond me. DON"T BUY!
