This adapter hose solved my problem of running out of propane, with the 1 Lb. green Coleman small tank! Now, I can cook, without changing the small can ever 2nd. or 3rd meal! This hose converts a 20 Lb., regular Bar-B-Q gas grill tank, to fit the small table top gas grills! This is a great idea and works very well. I would give it 5-Stars! Happy Grilling!

I have contemplated one of these for years, but I wasn't sure how/if it would work, was it safe, etc., given that so often I would read instructions with various propane burning products to NOT use such thing.
Since this one comes with a regulator to deal with the differences in pressure between the smaller and the bigger tanks, that takes care of it as far as I'm concerned.  Nice to not have to worry about running out of gas in the middle of a batch of hamburgers on the grill.

Save the little bottles for travel

I like the screw on knobs that are permanently affixed to the hose. Others have a grip knob that slides up and down and it always is a problem when attaching hose to propane tank.

Recently purchased table top gas grill that uses the quart size propane canisters, puchased this hose to connect to larger full sized propane tank!!! Works perfectly!!!

Read some reviews before I purchased that said they had difficulty getting it to work. They probably shouldn't breed. The one thread is LH, if you can figure that out you are golden. Works great and no more running out of gas mid grill out!

Affordable conversion to avoid tiny tanks

The external (male) threading on the tank end of the hose threw me for a minute until I found the corresponding internal (female) threading on the propane tanks valve assembly. Once that lack of knowledge was filled in, the hose performs exactly as advertised. My rating of the hose's durability, although speculative, is based solely upon the Coleman reputation and my years of experience with their products.

Performs as advertised

This hose connected right up to my 20 lb propane tank and to my Coleman InstaStart Triton Stove. Worked right out of the box. If you are not hiking in this will save you the effort of changing out the small propane bottles and cheaper too. But then who is going to carry one of these stoves hiking? Yes, I recommend it.

Coleman Adaptor Hose

I'm really not sure how glowing a review I can give this item. It hooks up to my 20 lb propane tank on one end and screws into any device that uses a disposable canister on the other end. Works as advertised. I can't speak to durability.. It's a rubber hose with brass fittings on either end. Time will tell.

Although this was listed as usable with the Coleman RoadTrip grill, we found that it didn't supply enough gas flow to the burners. Disappointing not to be able to use our full-size propane bottle. Guess we'll have to keep on using the small bottles. Don't waste your money. We returned it.

I ordered this hose to accompany my new Coleman grill. The grill uses the small fuel cylinders and I wanted to adapt to the 40 lb. tank. Once I got the grill and hose in I put the grill together and went to hook up the tank but then found out the hose also requires an adapter. If I had known I could have ordered the adapter at the same time. Now I have to try to find another piece.
