I ordered two more, because I like the shock absorber in this trekking pole. My first one has lasted 2 years, so far.

I am an experienced hiker and I picked these poles up for a very severe hike to the top of San Jacinto in Southern California. I needed them for the intense downhill mainly.  It is the highest peak in So Cal.  This hike, on some of the roughest terrain was from 8500 feet to 10,800+ feet.   I subjected these poles to the maximum abuse on this hike.  While they of course got scrapped up a bit, they never failed, held my weigh even when I bounced down rocks on them, and the pointed bottoms gripped rocks like suction cups at any angle.  Incredible grip!   The cork handles, even under the most intense pressure for hours never caused one blister or mark--my hands felt great. The straps are tough and held well.  I can't recommend them enough.  They made coming down from the mountain a breeze.

Top Performance, Top Quality, Top Grip

I am going through some health problems, and my chiropractor is enthusiastic about them.   They help me build upper body strength, as well as enabling me to walk further, and helping me maintain balance.  The good thing is that I know that if I am going far beyond my body's limits, they will collapse.  

I put a little scratch on them to tell me what is the best length, but that is difficult to find quickly.  I am now trying a mark made with nail polish. Using the straps over the back of my wrist is best for ease in holding them.

I use one for general walking about, but two for longer walks for exercise.  Self-consciousness is minimal, because they look so natural.

Very useful

Got my first pole as a gift.  Decided to purchase another to even out my  walk.  Light weight, inexpensive, increases walking speed and adds stability even if you're not looking for that aspect.  Use it on wooded nature trails but can also be used on asphalt because of rubber tip addition.  Enjoy

For the price, these are good poles to start with. I am sure there are better, more expensive poles available. Use them, and if like them, you can feel confident paying more for better quality ones when these wear out.  WARNING! There are no instructions on how to adjust the heights.

Good poles for the price. I recommend them.

Wife likes spring loaded action and believes it makes walking easier on her wrists. Packing was poor and no instructions to adjust length of pole and lock. Got what I paid for.

Entry level walking stick.

1 of them broke. I would not recommend this product. I tried bringing it back to watmart just for an exchange but I had lost the receipt so into the trash it goes.
