An ingenious combination of Primer and Colour Spray in one.     The Colour Primers unique formula has been designed to be used on all metal, plastic and resin miniatures and leaves a perfect finish. The extra-fine pigment and special nozzle combination makes the Colour Primers easily cover the first time.     The colours are matt, making your freshly sprayed miniatures or models ready for basecoat almost right away.      Save both time and money. No need for 2 different sprays - all you need is 1 Colour Primer for perfect results.      All primers are acrylic based, matt and dries very quickly.      Quite simply the best Black Spray on the market. Very matt and with a superior coverage - leaving the miniatures in a perfect condition for applying coats of paints.      USE:    1. Shake for minimum 1 minute    2. Spray at a distance of maximum 20 cm. (no further)    3. spray in long burst whils moving the spray back and forth      We advise you try out your Colour Primer on a old test model or similar first, to test the colour and finish before trying them out.

If you want a smooth primer coat for your miniatures, you can't go wrong with Army Painter.  I used to use other "big orange boxstore" brands, but after some bad experiences I will always pay a bit more for Army Painter.  Best part, they exact match their primers to their paint line colors.

An exceptional spray primer for all your miniature needs, Army Painter's primer sprays are an affordable option for folks who are just getting started in the hobby.  When I first took the leap into Battletech miniatures, I was able to paint the 50  minis I had purchased and still had plenty to help a friend start some fantasy minis. 

Operation is simple - set up outside or in another ventilated space, and spray about a foot away from your minis, covering thoroughly.  It dries fast, and gets you applying your paints beautifully!  

I can't say I'm an expert in mini painting, but Army Painter has made getting started absurdly simple.

Your Affordable

This primer is excellent for miniatures! Covers slight imperfections in 3D printing and decreases the amount of model paint needed to cover it, as well as making the paint stick to the model easier.

Excellent for Miniature Priming

Army Painter rattle-cans are probably the best primer sprays you can get from a hobby supplier. Even, thin coating, and they dry nice and quick. Solid product, through and through.

Stellar primer

Always prime your plastic miniatures before painting.  Black primer is very forgiving and missed spot or rough edges are easily overlooked.  Bright colors like red or yellow are hard to paint over black primer.

Spray primer covers well on the first coat and is absolutely fantastic for smoothing out small textures of 3D prints. It does have a longer cure time than other primers though and the pigments aren't as fine.
