These are ideal if both your FLAT frame back and wall can be prepped with a quick wipe of isopropyl alcohol. Wallpaper not recommended. Properly applied, they are tenacious. Yet can be removed without damage to frame or wall, using the magical little pull-tabs.

I had a bunch of picture frames on top of my dresser that take up so much space so I decided to find a way to mount them on the wall without having the put holes in it. I came across these command strips and decided to give them a try as they promise no damage to the walls. They were super simple to install and hold the frames on the wall perfectly. I love that it is Velcro that you can remove the frame(s) from the walls if need be, with ease! I anticipate that it would be easy to remove the product completely off the wall with ease as well, it seems straightforward; I just haven't had to remove it completely off my walls as of yet. It's nice that it comes in another color as well if the white isn't what you prefer. Not to mention, the price isn't bad for the number of pairs you get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't count the number of times I've wanted to hang something on the wall only to change my mind or not want to add nail holes to the drywall (at work or an apartment/dorm).  This is where the Command Hanging Strips come in handy.  They are an effective way to hang items on a wall with easy removal.

A few pro-tips... 1) clean the surface as directed - it does matter; 2) mind the direction of the strip when applying so the removal section is easy to grasp; and 3) follow the recommendations of the packaging for the weight of the item to be hung.

Effective Alternative to Hardware

Purchased these for first time to use on A4 size picture. Found them easy to use and importantly the picture has stayed in place.  Then bought medium size and used to put up a notice board in kitchen. I have now bought more of this product in various sizes including large - no more holes left in walls  when I decide to re-arrange my pictures. Just make sure to buy appropriate size for weight you wish to support.

Bought them for two plastic hooks to hang towels and both hooks fell down at the second day! I don't know if they're not for bathrooms or humid spaces.

Personally I just like the double sided foam tape. This work, just don't see why 2 pieces instead on one!

I bought this again despite the first time I used them my picture went crashing to the floor and broke... In half. The second time everything seemed to be going well then it comes time to remove it and one of the strips peeled the paint right off of the wall! Goodbye security deposit of an otherwise immaculate apartment.

Three years ago I reorganized all the pictures I had hanging using command hooks on all of them. Everything worked perfectly up until about 6 months ago. Pictures started falling off the walls on a regular basis to my surprise. I now have broken picture frames that now have to be replaced. For some reason the Velcro no longer is holding together. This morning I tried to remove the adhesive strip from a wall and removed a chunk of drywall paper and paint with it. these not only mark the walls, they damage them.
