I used another clip for my outdoor lights the first year in my house and by the second year the plastic was so brittle that every clip snapped when I tried to hang up my lights.  I replaced them with these, and they worked great and held up from one year to the next without any becoming brittle or losing their stickiness.
They are easy to remove, but the only thing I don't love is that they are noticeable when you don't take them down and don't have anything clipped to them.  I have these around my windows and garage door and off season; you can see the black arrow on the strip where you are meant to pull and remove the adhesive.  This makes them stand out a bit.

So far so good. These outdoor clips are easy to use and do their job. I have used them to attach to my metal shed roof to hang some solar lights. This is not the first time I've used them and they held up well last time. I only removed them because we got a new roof on that structure. I expect these will hold up just as well.

They do their job

I purchased these for outdoor lights on my patio. These clips are amazing and really strong. We have a lot of wind  where I live and I have no issues with my lights.

Great hooks.

They should do the job. Just need a warm day now to put them up while waiting on the lights to get here. They will have plenty of time to rest before lights are hung. lol We are not allowed to put any nails, screws or hole of any type on the outside of the apartment.  So decided there was more than one way to skin a cat, as they say. :)

Will fit my needs

We had bought these several years ago for our screen porch in Florida and they still hold well after several years for Christmas lights.    We got these for indoors and wanted clear clips for indoor Christmas lights on our wall.  We leave the clips up all year because it is difficult for us to reposition them every year..

these work great for my outdoor lighting work along the house along the metal shed the wood fence, good stuff

I purchased these clips to hang cafe lights on my outdoor 2nd level balcony. I affixed the clips to the balcony wall ledge using about 25-30 clips in total and their only purpose is to hang the lights. After the 1st night two clips had fallen from the wall, and I stuck them back on. The next day only 1 had fallen and I ended up taking that clip down. It's been a few weeks now and the clips are holding the lights up without issue despite some torrential rain and swinging temperatures. I wouldn't use these clips to hang anything heavier than a string of lights, for that purpose they are doing well so far for me.

Good for Hanging Outdoor Cafe Lights

I think they changed the glue they use because they don't hold up a basic string of lights, which is not very heavy. I actually had to buy superglue to put on the backs of the stickers to make them stay up because I am going to leave them up all year long, but for anybody who is taking them down after the season these are a waste of money.

They don't stick!

These came in a plastic bag, not the typical packaging- which should have been my first clue. I've bought these cord clips multiple times from different places and never had an issue but when I say the wall side isn't even close to sticky, I mean it doesn't even stick to my finger when I touch it- much less a wall. I'm a play therapist attempting to add some twinkle lights to my play space and when I tell you that I have had to practice my own coping skills because of the rate and number of times these things have fallen off the wall- I'm not kidding. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch or if they were returned (hence the lack of packaging) because they didn't stick well but I will be purchasing a new set elsewhere. I wish there was a way to return these but considering I've used up the majority of the strips trying to get them to stick, I'm guessing I'm just stuck with them- pun intended.
