Best gate ever!! Between our dogs and kids we are hard on these gates, this is our 3rd in 3 years. It's the best gate for dogs who jump and smart toddlers until they are strong enough to undo the latch! We will always purchase this gate in this size as long as they make it!

Perfect. .exactly what we needed

It's very secure and I like the automatic locking mechanism.

This is the only gate available in the market that possibly can be used to confine the full size cats (not kittens). The spacing between slats is truly 2.25" as specified as opposed to 2.5" or more for all other gates in the market which are more susceptible for small size cats to squeeze through. I haven't tried it yet but hopefully it will work for my little cat which can easily squeeze through slats that are 2.5" apart. At 42" height, the gate is also the tallest in the market for high jumpers to think twice before trying.  I would have given it 5 stars if I had already installed and tried it out with my cat and it really worked as I think it probably will.

Best pressure mount gate available for cats

I chose this gate, PG5142, because of its height and the width it was able to reach.  The description made me believe that the extension kit would come with the gate; that was a major factor in my decision for this purchase, but it did not.  I love the height of this gate because I am a taller female at 6' and I don't have to bend over to open it.  Unfortunately though I will have to fabricate my own extension so it stays put firmly.  I have tried to call the company's customer service number but no matter what option I choose, it wants you to leave a voicemail which I have yet to receive a call back and for some reason I can not find the kit online.  Other than that, the handle could be a bit more convenient.  It is definitely not a one-hander because you have to make sure both buttons on each side are completely pushed in and you can't do that plus lift the handle unless you have extremely large, strong hands.  You need some strength in order to open it.  My 10-year old son can manage but has difficulty and since I haven't added my own extensions yet, I just do it for him because I don't want it to fall.  I have a pit-bull and as long as something is blocking his way, he won't try to get through so it is still working for my purpose even without being completely secure.  I am actually more worried that my 7-month old is going to knock it down before the dog will.   I am only giving two stars based on "you get what you pay for," and I don't think I have received my money worth.

Misleading

This is poorly made, and we do not recommend it. We came home, and our dog somehow managed to get through the gate. The handle is very flimsy. Thankfully nothing bad happened to our dog, but this is definitely NOT a well made gate for a strong and determined dog!!!
