Can be reliable, but also prone to issues.

So far this air conditioner has been great. It was very easy to install. I've only been using it for 5 days now but it blows very hard and cold. it has no problem Cooling the area which it is installed. Approximately 440 square feet. It circulates the air well throughout the room. I believe it will still do as well In the Heat of the summer. I reviewed several different units before I decided on this unit. I'm very happy with my choice so far and don't expect problems in the future.

I am hot. And by hot, I mean temperature. I am chubby and have a big forehead, so no delusions of grandeur here. I live in a home with no trees that sits in afternoon sun. This unit is the best ac I have ever had. If I had a puppy, I would name it after this air conditioner.

Hey all you cool cats and kittens

Purchased this air conditioner for my large living room. This air conditioner was well worth every penny saving me from my central air conditioner bills. This air conditioner is powerful. Cools my living room and kitchen. I can cook an oven dinner and still remain cool! I live in Alabama where the heat hits in the 100's! This air conditioning system handles the heat!!! I'm in love ❤️

Best Unit For Southern Heat!

The vent needs to be able to move in more directions than it does.  It blows good and strong across my bed I got a vent cover.         The side pocket you have to put more of that grey stuff to make it stick. I can not remember the name of it. But it goes on the sides to help keep it close to the wall.

It's  very nice looking. the side wings could have been better quality for a better fit. 
Cools very fast, we have it in the kitchen.  It cools the kitchen and living room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is taking some getting used to on how it works. The temperature regulator is off. I had set it to 70 and it kept auto shutting off at 74-75 degrees. So I set it to 67 and it cuts off around 70. I have a humidity meter with temp reader to keep track. So far it's doing a good job keeping both my living room—>dining—>kitchen cool. The kitchen isn't as cool as the other two rooms because it has to travel through the rooms. However, it's better than the GE model I was using from my bedroom. Not as powerful as my Fedders I had for more than 20yrs but it'll do. Only time will tell how well it performs but for now, I'm grateful it's doing a fine job during these frequent heat waves in the Northeast. I'd recommend 👍

Cool!

Don't know if it was worth the money it's a little noisy and when temp is set at 74degrees it's at 80degrees inside so temp control is not vey accurate at all not really impressed with this air conditioner at this point and would not recommend it for anyone it was a bad deal I thought.

Not worth the money

The first order was defective, the replacement never arrived. The new unite received today is also defective the control panel is not fully attached the front plate is not stable. I release the need for this unit. I will try another store. Very disappointed. I never have a problem with Walmart until today.

Defective air conditioner

I had an awful experience with the purchase. The unit worked well for a few hours. Then it started making a loud, weird noise. Kind of like a foghorn but more high pitched. At that point it started to only blow out cold air intermittently. It was at the peak of summer and we tried to put up with it hoping it would stop. After a couple of days it stopped blowing cold air all together, and started flashing some kind of error. It was just outside of the return window to return to the store. Note that AC units have a much shorter return window than the 90 days you get on other products. I was stuck trying to contact the company to get them to honor the warranty. This is where my experience went from bad to terrible. I called the number repeatedly. Sometimes you get a busy signal, others you get automatically put on hold. The hold "times out" after several minutes and then disconnects the call. 
I finally get through. The person tells me I have to email them a copy of my receipt and I will get a replacement. I say fine and email it. A few weeks pass. No replacement arrives. I call them again. The person tells me I have to snail mail them a copy of the receipt, take a picture of the model number off the side of the unit and send a physical printed picture of it, and cut the end the cord off the unit and mail it all to them. I was stunned. I said you told me a few weeks ago to send the receipt and I would get a replacement. The person just kind of ignored my arguemnt and kept repeating what they now wanted me to do. I was at their mercy, so I told them I would do it. Also, they were out of this brand name, so they would have to send me a Black and Decker. Didn't really want to do that, but had little choice. So I start putting together everything they want. Im disabled so it takes a little while. I finally get the nerve to cut the plug off of this almost brand new machine, which totally doesn't feel right, and now I have all of the things they want. As I am putting it all in a mailer, I hear a delivery truck outside. It's my replacement. Keep in mind I haven't sent in their "new requirements" yet. But by the time all this gets accomplished summer is pretty much over. Had to suffer through it because of how slow what you can loosely refer to as a "return process" takes. Now I am thinking I have the replacement, do I really need to waste postage on sending them all this stuff if they have already sent me the replacement? I call to ask and they say yes, I still need to send in the end of the cord and stuff. I had went this far and wanted to do the right thing and hold up my end of the deal. So I mailed it to them. Haven't heard from them since. Now I have a Black and Decker AC unit still in the box that I haven't even plugged up yet because summer was over by the time I got it. It may work, it may not. I don't know. I am so tired of messing around with them, if it doesn't work I will just call it a loss and go ahead and buy another brand.

Long review for a long, bad process/experience

Terrible air conditioner! Cools good when it works. Very loud sounds like I have a generator in my house. Now the compressor is working it's freezing up on the coils, but the fan is not blowing. I'm in the process of trying to get my money back now, but  I've had it for 2 months and it's out of the window of return. Company that makes it will not answer phone calls.
