I love hair tools that don’t feel like a workout to use, and this InfinitiPRO by Conair 1½ Infrared Thermal Brush, Infrared Heated Hair Brush that I ordered from Walmart.com caught my attention right away.


The first thing I notice is how light it is, it makes a difference when I’m standing in the bathroom trying to get ready and not wanting to deal with something bulky or awkward. The temperature adjustability is also much better than I expected, I don’t feel locked into one setting and I can dial it in depending on how my hair is behaving that day which, honestly, seems to change with the weather and or how much coffee I’ve had.


This morning I was getting ready for work and decided to take before and after photos. I didn’t feel like doing a full routine, just wanted a little lift and shape, and I ended up using this quickly thinking it would be a basic pass and done but it actually gave me more volume than I expected and a smoother finish, so I kept going a bit longer than planned and before I knew it I had a full style going without really trying.


I like that it uses infrared heat and doesn’t feel overly harsh, and between the ceramic barrel and the bristles guiding everything through, my hair came out looking a little shinier and less frizzy without needing a bunch of extra product. It’s one of those tools where I don’t feel like I have to fight with it to get a decent result.


Overall it fits into my everyday routine pretty easily, especially on mornings when I want something quick that still looks put together, and it’s comfortable enough to use that I don’t mind reaching for it regularly.

Light Wand, Big Results

This is my first time using this type of thermal brush, having thin hair I was a little hesitant to try it but I am so glad I did! The brush is very easy to use, you can set the heat at different settings, the results are very natural looking the curl stays held together in the 1  1/2 inch barrel, the brush itself is not bulky. If you don’t have curly hair, this is the tool for you! As you will be able to curl your hair with ease.

Easy to use

I am so thrilled to finally be able to afford one of these thermal curling brushes. It left my hair so soft and shiny. It was so easy to use. It heat it up almost within seconds.. And the instructions really helped too because I have very fine hair and the instructions tell me what degree to use for fine hair. The instructions are valuable. I highly recommend you read them completely. You will be so happy with this product.

The Master Curling Iron

This thermal brush heats up quickly and it's easy to use. It nicely curls and/or straightens my hair when I am in a hurry before work. I wish I would have gotten it a long time ago.

The InfinitiPRO by Conair 1 1/2" Infrared Thermal Brush is a great styling tool for curling/making wavy/etc. hair, but not the best for straightening, or trying to blow out hair.  It does come with all the instructions needed, and even has a Velcro band to wrap around the chord for easy maintenance. There are four different settings to determine how much heat you want/need to use according to you type of hair, and is very easy too use just as long as you do not wrap your hair around the wand more than twice. More than twice will get it tangled within the bristles, and will knot your hair up making it very hard to remove fromt he heat. I can honestly see how it would be hard to use for someone with really long hair especially for a first time user. Another reason I only gave four stars was because it came with everything except something to hold it especially while it's hot. It doesn't have to be something big or special, but a stand to hold it especially while hot would have been great and made easier to manage/use. I would recommend, but it's not made for everyone.

if you want a smooth look, this is your buddy.  makes med to long hair sleek and manageable.  don't expect ginormous curls more of a straightening tool.

Conair 1½" Infrared Thermal Brush

Let me first say I have very thick hair and a lot of it, it's very healthy,  long and it's straight. This did not work for me at all. Except for maybe straightening it a little bit. Just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for you. I can definitely see this working very well on thinner hair. I had really high hopes for this working.  All of my curling irons and straighteners are all Conair I won't use any other brand. I love the brand but I wouldn't recommend this for someone who has long thick and a lot of hair. I'm 47 years old and I've curled my own hair since I was 12 years old (before that my mom did it). So I have a lot of experience when it comes to using different tools on hair. I've always had long hair down to the base of my back. This product I would definitely recommend for someone who has thinner hair than I do and this would work really well with layers. Mine is cut straight across the back. another thing that I found that I didn't like about this is it gets really hot and the tip of it that you're supposed to hold to do different types of blowouts you can't even hold I burnt my fingers a lot. I tried to use this several ways and nothing worked. I burnt my hands more than I would like to admit. it's hard to do a blowout curl style if you can't hold the tip of it to twist it. regular curling irons I can use and my hair generally holds the curl but with this it didn't work. I then tried it again after putting a mousse and it that's flexible that looks like you have no product in your hair. but that didn't hold the curl either. I used this at 400 and all of my other styling tools I always use it at the highest because I have such thick hair. With regular curling irons I don't have to put any product in my hair at all and it holds the curl pretty well. I don't burn myself on regular curling irons or even curling wands either. This was a bad experience overall for me. but like I said just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it wouldn't work for you.

Not For Really Thick Hair IMO

As I unboxed the thermal brush, there was a large tag stating “CAUTION THIS PRODUCT CAN BURN EYES”.   Questioned that statement as my dog stared at what I was doing the entire time (kept back to dog).   Then the instructions with no less than 5 danger instructions (I.e. immediately unplug after using, even if turned off).    Followed by 18 warnings… (I.e don’t operate where aerosol product being used).   

I also, would have liked to known PRIOR to purchase, the instructions…’to avoid tangles, don’t wrap hair more than twice around’ (dah… long hair), so wants you to limit how much length of hair is curled?

I decided to use with a hot plate, just in case, to protect my counter top.  

Yes, turns on fast and heats up fast.  I first used the lowest setting for fine fragile hair, after multiple times of rolling my hair up, it was only slightly curly in the ends of my hair, like a half inch.  So upped it to 400 degrees, still only slightly curled the ends.  Tried everything, very small thin amounts, more heat/ holding time, etc.   Never curled anything’s but the very ends.  The advertisements “loose curls and soft waves” and “long lasting style”.   I experienced neither!

So tried just brushing for ion smooth, frizz free.  I have long, straight processed hair.  It did seem to slightly shine/smooth my hair.  Looking at it now looks frizz again.

My 1/2” ends and bangs still slightly curled without and spray/gel.

You will need to manually pull the loose hair out of the wand bristle once unplugged and totally cooled down.  It does have a nice permanently attached Velcro to keep the cord packed up.  I like to store things in their box.

For me this is a bust.  My electric hot rollers curl my hair (all of it, not just the last 1/2”).  The smooth non frizz isn’t as important as curling and having the curls last!

Does not curl my long hair

was not used tried to return didnt have receipt . Bought with my credeit card was told you do not carry this product.  was bought for a  gift but gal didnt need ine so wanted to return it.
