Instructions on use are inadequate. You must hold unlock button down while pressing high or low speed. Awkward to do this. Otherwise I like it. Can put most parts in dishwasher.

We bought this new model to replCe our older one as the stock blDe began to malfunction— it was with us a long tim-/ so that is the reason it was so easy to select the same trusted brand.  Our surprise and complaintis a “new” design feature of two speeds and a pesky third button on top you must hind down for the blade to run.  You can let go once the blade is spinning, but it is very uncomfortable— definitely a two handed job. Also— the second speed appears useless for us s the normal one speed was great for all our uses.  They messed with a good thing.  We are wishing for our old one speed and NO rip button to hold down.

Not necessarily good

Impossible to get started without both hands...one to hold and operate the speed and the other to turn off the poorly designed safety lock on the top of the device. That can be a real pain to use if you're trying to cook and need the other hand. Also, the mixer cup that came with it cracked and chipped about 2 weeks after I bought it.

Bad design

Model described in written description was CSB-79, which " includes chopper attachment, whisk and 16 oz mixing cup".   Model I received was CSB75BC, which is what's shown in the specifications area on the same page (though I did not see that there was a conflict) and is just the basic mixer.    Returned it.

Not the same model number as described.

Walmart describes a csb 79 model which includes cup, and whisk and chopper attachments. The model you actually get is csb 75 with cup and no attachments. There is no remedy for fixing the issue as I've since read numerous reviews with the same issue.  Your only recourse is to refund and buy the right model elsewhere.  Also, the 75 model is difficult to use. You have to hold the lock button down on top of mixer then switch on and hold the button the entire time using. It was a tricky and outdated technology, surprisingly. Used it for Christmas on two cakes and I quit and went the old fashioned way of mixing by hand. Taking it back as soon as I go home after the holidays.

buyer beware: Not as described; laborious

I bought this  to replace an earlier model of the same unit I that I loved and lasted for years. They changed the unit to have a lockout button on the top that is very difficult to use. I used to be able to use the unit with one hand - not anymore. Current unit failed after 6 months - won't rotate the blades. The locking mechanism decreased in quality substantially. The replacement unit I bought also has a poor locking mechanism - doesn't lock well / snap in firmly.

Poor Quality

Seriously I've had Cuisinart sticks before but this one is the worst design flaw ever. Having to hold top button down and press speed button at the same time you need to use 2 hands for this one. I couldn't even return it!

Stupid design

I purchase this hand blender a few months ago but unfortunently the description does not mention that it take two hands to operate. One hand to hold the appliance and press the start button and the other hand to keep the motor running. Very difficult to operate.

Need two hands to operate this hand Blender!

Not happy with it. You almost have to use two hands to use it. It has some sort of “safety” feature that you have to push on the top and press the power button on the side. I bought a different one.
