This is a piece of furniture using solid wood trim pieces and wood veneer panels versus all the paper laminate varieties out there. Very durable with 70lb. weight capacity per shelf. 2 adjustable shelves allow you to customize the storage space to accommodate a variety of book sizes and 1 fixed shelf provides structural reinforcement. A dowel and cam lock assembly design ensures a strong durable bookcase. Wood elements are sourced in the USA and assembled in Mexico. Good quality for price. Sturdy construction and good hardware. Instructions are clear.
Wish there was something nicer looking at a slightly higher price; this is OK for casual areas.

Nice shelves, easy to put together, made of goo, solid materials.  I would have given the product five stars, but there are visible gaps between the sides and front fascia at both the top and bottom.

It is not high quality furniture but it is functional and meets our needs and looks acceptable.  It is sturdy enough for our books.  Finish is sketchy in some areas but books cover that up.  This is not a piece to use as focal point in your formal living - as the price would indicate.  
As far as assemble, it does take two people. We were shorted one peg.  We had to re-tape back panel (a sturdy card board) as panel sections overlapped.  (Not appearance issue now.) The top valance piece was about 1/2?short so there is a gap to the right, front side.  Directions could have been easier to follow if furniture parts were labeled.

Unfortunately espresso color was more satin black than espresso.
Fit and finish was OK, but not to expected standard.

Color description could be better.

Little difficult to assemble. A drill is needed to secure some of the screws. Not for someone who has trouble with their hands as I do. Would not have purchased if I knew this.

Book case review

mostly made of msn made wood. the dowel pins were oversized. hardware stripped easily. one of the most difficult shelf units to assemble and not at all happy with the finished look. im sorry i bought it

disapponted

This was ordered to go in a conference room. The assembly was NOT easy and hard to decipher. Many of the pieces did not go together or fit together backwards. The back piece of the shelf is TAPPED together and VER cheap! The finished product does not look finished because the pieces do not fit together properly. We had to use a screw gun because many of the holes were not drilled previously.
