1/4 turn will get the lid on and off! this is the very best Contigo ive ever owned and ive been using them for at least 10 years! why? Because this model is leak and spill proof! i use it for hot coffee and love it it because it will stay hot for a few hours. You cant gk wrong buying this model and it makes a great gift also!!!

This model holds a lot of hot/cold liquid AND maintains that temp for 4-5 hours; doesn't leak, even nicer than most because can be placed in backpack (with "lock" switch on) & it does NOT leak; clean-up accomplished hassle-free via the easy to disassemble/assemble lid mechanism; I selected "metal" finish (doesn't show wear & tear quite as much as others).
Remember this item is 1 1/2 times larger than "average" travel mug (factor in SIZE + WEIGHT before ordering).
This product superior to 99% on the shelf ... makes excellent gift!

I have been a huge fan of this brand for some time now.  I was thrilled to find a larger size (20 oz.) at such an amazing price.  I don't leave the house -- and I truly mean this -- without my Contigo.  I take it with me wherever I go.  It's my  equivalent of Charlie Brown's blanket!  I truly recommend this product!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 3rd one of these I’ve had.  If I were just a LITTLE more coordinated, and a little less forgetful, almost certainly would not have needed this one.  It truly is drip proof, spill proof and, for the first 20 times or so, drop proof!  It keeps the ice in my sweeeet southern tea for 10 hours or more.  This one is just as wonderful as the others.

AMAZING, spill-proof tumbler

I love this product.  I take it to work and it keeps my drinks cold for a long time.  I also found out another coworker had the same brand and he also said he loves this product.  I highly recommend it. I chose the stainless steel and not a colored container as some people said the colored ones chip.

Excellent for keeping drinks hot or cold

I really like this mug. I am always worried about spilling, but with this lid the seal appears to be quite tight. I haven't experienced any leakage from the base of the lid or from the slot where you drink from. I was also concerned that if the top unlocks that the seal would be less tight and there would be leakage from the drinking slot, but I have yet to experience that.  No more messy spills for me!

I LOVE Contigo West Loop mugs. This is my 4th, not because they wear out, but because I have one for everywhere… home, work, car, water, coffee/tea. My only issue is this one is a little hard to screw the lid closed tight (I have arthritis). Not terrible, as long as it remains spill-proof, which it has, I will continue to be a loyal customer.

I LOVE Contigo West Loop!!

I really love these cups for work or out in the yard. The auto seal anti spill lids are great! The only thing is that I wished the lids lasted longer . After time when you push the side button to drink it doesn’t work properly to be able to drink . For the cost they should last longer.

My husband and I love this mug so much. First, he bought it for himself and because it kept the coffee hot for hours, bought another one for me. It doesn't spill coffee at all and is easy to wash with hands. It is in good shape and looks great just like the picture (actually I have a black one). I'm absolutely satisfied with this mug and recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that the lid fits my old contigo. My old one had chipped up paint and no longer looked presentable, but still works great. Would have bought a mug with stainless steel exterior instead of painted, but those cost more. After this one came, I discovered heated vinegar perfectly removed all the paint on my old one, now it looks perfect. So haven’t even used this new one yet, but am keeping it because contigo is high quality. 5 starts for quality, but 4 stars because it is a bit expensive.

Product has leaked from almost the beginning. I’ve had it for 2 months with limited use and it will pour out a stream of hot coffee between the vessel and the lid. Very disappointing how cheaply made it is. We will see if I can get another one to try as I’ve submitted warranty info and it was a gift. Only option I had was getting a blueberry colored one back which I want stainless steel like the one that was purchased for me.
