Formula

Just For Men Control GX Grey Reducing 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner, 4 fl oz is one of the easiest ways to dial back greys because it integrates directly into your regular shower routine. Rather than giving you an abrupt, shoe-polish look overnight, it deposits small amounts of pigment with each wash, letting you gradually blend away greys over two to four weeks. Once you hit the coverage level you prefer, you simply swap back to your regular shampoo for a few days a week to maintain it.

The built-in conditioner with keratin helps keep hair from feeling dried out or brittle, which can be an issue with standard color treatments. However, keep in mind that the formula can temporarily discolor fingernails or light shower grout if left unrinsed, so washing your hands thoroughly immediately after lathering is key. Available at retailers like Walmart and Target, it is a practical, low-effort solution for anyone wanting subtle, natural-looking results.

natural grey coverage without the harsh dye look

walmart.com

I've been using it for a little while I use it about twice a week, maybe less maybe more sometimes but it slows the gray coming in. I suppose if you use it more regularly, it would keep the gray at bay. I leave a little gray because I'm in my 60s and I don't wanna look like a phony.

This works

Once you use it consistently it gives a good base coverage and you don't have to use it as often to maintain it.

It really does color your hair...I like that it darken my roots because they come out Gray... So my hair appears to be thicker than it is... I like that it colors my hair but without it a traumatic change.. I highly recommend this product...

Good stuff

I like how it gradually darkens my hair. Takes out about 30% gray and looks really good. Guys you only need about a dime size squeeze to put in your hair. I find leaving it in for a full 2 min really works. And if you wait that long you will see the darker blue color rinse out more. I wipe my forehead after lathering it in with my washcloth... I find that if some of the shampoo stays on my forehead... I break out a little.

Give it a good week, to take effect.

I have used this for 5 days and the grey is almost gone from my hair. The only downside is my hair smells like this product. Don't use a white towel to dry your hair!

This does work!

Good product

Works well enough, but quality is inconsistent. My first tube stripped out the color from my previous grey reducing product and never added enough color to look natural. My original hair color is black, but this product turned my grey to dirty blond. The second tube worked much better. However, this formulation isn't as resilient as the past hair color products from Just for Men. One use of regular shampoo strips most of the color that this product put in over several subsequent uses.

Inconsistent results between different bottles

I have used this product for years with very good expected results. However, it is apparent that there has been a dramatic change in the formulation. The gradual natural color has changed to an instant coloration which is now bronze/copper tone instead of dark brown/black. This is hugely disappointing and embarrasing.

Fire your chemist!

Well washed hair 3 individual times and applied. Followed instructions as said.My hair color was between very light tan and tan. After 3 shots of this. It turned my hair black It had left my hair black . Still there today. You would think some of this be gone by now, Still black. I am a 56 year old male had a full head of hair. All of my hair had started getting thin after this black shampoo job. Hair was slowly coming out. You can figure what happened next . You be the Judge
