When you use a hair color to get rid of those unsightly gray hairs, your hair usually has a brassy look that takes at least a week or two to wash out and finally look like your normal hair color.  With this shampoo, you do not get any brassy look, or anything unnatural.  You simply shampoo your hair like normal, and within a week the grays get colored in and your hair looks normal.  Once you get your hair back to it's proper color, just shampoo once or twice a week with this to keep the roots looking natural.  I strongly recommend this product!

It seemed darker than I remembered even though it was for lighter shades. I'm not sure if they changed the formula or what.

It took me several tubes to figure our how to use this and here is how it works for me. 

If you follow the directions and leave on for only one minute you may get 10% coverage at best, and if your hair grows fast, you will always have a visible color line.  Also, as a shampoo this works very poorly to remove dirt and oil. 

So, wash your hair with a regular shampoo first. Then use control GX and leave on for 10 minutes (I shave and soap up while this is on). Then rinse. 

With this routine I was able to get good gray coverage and can use every other day with no problems.

Works if you leave on longer

The shampoo is rather expensive for the volume that comes in the container and the container size has shrunken of the last couple of years.  It does gradually cover graying hair as is intended.  It will stain the bathroom surfaces of your shower, but that is easy enough to remove with shower cleaners containing bleach.  It also leaves a slight residue on your scalp and face.  If you do not use the plastic gloves that come in the box the shampoo will/can stain your finger nails.  I normally use it once or twice a week for the last few years.

So-so results and pricey

Ive usex other just for men dye washes with success. BUT this particular one did notbing. I left it in 30 min and no change
