I needed a pan for larger amounts of food/sauces and wanted stainless steel for a couple of reasons; 1) Browning meat, and 2) tomato based sauces. I have some other cookware, but they are either cast iron or non-stick. Cast iron can handle tomato sauces (some may disagree) but for something that's going to cook for a long time (like chili or a good marinara) I would prefer not to use it. I wanted something with some depth, but not as deep as a stock pot, plus if I'm cooking pasta I need the stock pot for it.
This pot is fitting the bill perfectly. The sides are tall enough to hold a good amount of liquid, it seems to heat evenly across the entire surface (cooking with gas), builds a nice fond when cooking meat, and has two handles so it can be easily moved around (the small handle does get hot however). The bottom edges are rounded so they can be scraped while cooking, although they do have a fairly tight radius so your larger whisks may not be able to reach all the way.
Overall I am pleased with the quality and construction of the pot. While it's not inexpensive, I feel that it has the quality/build equal to pots costing a lot more.

The weight is unavoidable but it's an excellent pan. Well made and should last us, well, forever. Cleans up nicely with a little soaking or a bit of light scrubbing.  Surprisingly easily really. 
We are comfortable recommending this pan.

This pan is a little larger than I expected. I cooked down some squash and onions today and this pan worked out great, because squash and onions do cook down , so you have to fill the pan up tp start with. It's a keeper.

Super Chef Deep-Dish Pan for Home Chefs

This is a beautiful skillet, however it's heavier than I anticipated...good or bad thing...you decide!  I'm breaking away from the Teflon/no stick skillets and pans that have to be replaced every few years.

Cooking with stainless steel cookwares have been truly a different cooking experinces than non stick cookwares. Other than cast iron cookwares, stainless steel provides a healthy option in cooking.

I love this skillet, its a little heavy but not bad, if you cook on low heat with lid on it cooks fast without burning. Cleanup is quick and easy. would definitely recommend.

Great value

We have other Cooks Standard stainless steel pots and love them.  This appears to be the same high-quality material and construction.  It's quite large, larger than I expected, but a great cooking pot.

No one, except me, apparently reads the owner's manual.  Why does the manual discuss non-stick surfaces and the danger of damaging them?  I'm pretty certain this is just stainless steel -- no non-stick coating.  For all the care that appears to go into the pan, the vendor seems to have gone on the cheap for the users manual and used the same one for a variety of different pots.    One star off...

Great pan, confusing user's manual

Cooks ok but everything sticks and is very difficult to clean. Very heavy and cumbersome to work with. Strong No on this product.
