Assembly

Very low featured double window fan.  This is a no frills fans.  Basically two speed settings and panels to cover the rest of the window.  I ordered this because I specifically just wanted the fan option and was not worried about automatic speed adjustment and temperature control.  This unit pushes a lot of air and does exactly what I wanted it to do.  It is quiet and was easy to install.

Picked the fan up at the nearest Walmart to replace the fan that broke. Had to wait several days for the fan to be shipped to the store. Had some trouble putting the fan in the window due to the channel on the top of the fan. It wouldn't fit in tightly but I was able to set it and I just check it daily to make sure it doesn't fall off the roof. Fan has operated great since I got it and it is easy to set the speeds. Hoping it will last several years.

Works! This will be used in the garage in the winter to help to move warm up into the attic. Got it now so I can take time installing it.

No problems with this.

I bought this to fit in a specific window.  Having said that, if I could have found a better one I would have.  It's a bit flimsy and for the first 2 times I ran it one of the motors made a funny sound.  I've been running it now for about a week and the noise has stopped.  It puts out a good amount of air for its size.  I just hope the motor doesn't give up.

get what you par for

Fan set in window fine. Was skeptical being plastic is cheaply made. And to reverse you have to turn fan around. The accordion sides are flimsy, had to set a few 1x2 pieces  by lock latches' so window canot be pushed upward. Keep it secure and tight. 
The noise is loud.. could do without that added bonus. Value is right but you get what you pay for in most cases.

The first thing I noticed is it does not have a reverse fan direction option so to bring air in or out you have to turn the fan around which is an inconvenience. Secondly the accordion plastic that fills in the extra space on either side of the fan is not able to be locked. That means that if you need to put the fan vertical it collapses on itself under it's own weight.

Not as good as others I've had

This is the second time I ordered this fan. Both times they sent close to the advertised fan but the mold number was f-5280 not the f-5280a. So it doesn't have the existing feature. If picture knob to turn on is on the front but mine is on the top and hard to turned if using in window. I thought the first time I got wrong one was just an accident. But to order again and get the same one is no mistake. Don't waste your time or money
