[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do not believe the bin holds 50 pounds of ice and I'm skeptical of it producing 200lbs in 24 hours. The bin opening is very small making it difficult to scoop ice out of the bin. The drop is very short and when the ice lands, it has not gained enough momentum for the ice sheet to break up into cubes leaving large chunks of ice compounding the difficulty of removing the ice from the bin. I would not recommend this ice maker. It is very quiet though but that's less important than being able to remove the ice for use. I did not use the supplied tubing and filter as I already had copper lines in place from my last ice maker.

Ok for very light ice needs.

This item was advertised as holding 50lbs of ice. In reality it holds about 15 lbs. $300 is a lot of money for something to make 1 bag of ice overnight. Was expecting to be able to fill a cooler up overnight and instead only get about a grocery bag full.
