[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was a single tire replacement and it was a match to what we had. The price was not to bad but the store was close to my work which made it convenient

I have a 2008 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring. I used to have Michelin Destiny 205-55-16 T. I inflate my tires to the manufacturer's recommendation (35 PSI all around). I always thought Michelin was the best until I bought the Coopers. The vehicle feels just as smooth as it did before but the Coopers have way better steering response. The Coopers are about the same as the Michelins in the rain and snow but I like they way the Coopers make my car handle. Tire noise is about the same (low). One notable difference is that the CS5 has an asymmetric tread pattern while the Destiny had a symmetric pattern. My car doesn't have ABS or traction control. When I was mounting the Coopers, I noticed that the sidewalls were stiffer than the Michelins. I've had the Coopers on the PT now for about 25,000 miles/2 years and I still like them. I like the Wear Squares because it makes it easy to see if one side of the tire is wearing differently from the other (which would indicate an alignment or suspension problem). The Coopers have about 50% tread life according to the Wear Squares. I will definitely buy the same tires again after they wear out. I also have a 1999 Buick Century with Michelin Destinys but I'll probably get the cheapest tires for that one since I hardly ever drive it. I recommend Cooper to all my friends, family, and co-workers.

Good Tires

These tires have been on my 2008 Buick Lucerne CXL for a year & a half. The car had over 222,000 miles when I got these tires & the odometer is at 256K. The patented Cooper "Tread Wear Square" is barely down to the first side disappearing, which indicates to me that they're about 1/3 worn at 34,000 miles. I can't understand the complaints in other reviews about premature treadwear; these tires might make 100K miles. I had Michelin Defenders before these & those wore out at 61K. I'm much more pleased with these Coopers. PLUS... ALL Cooper Tires are made in the USA; that's important to me.

So far, VERY pleased!

I bought a set of CS5 Grand Touring tires last fall. This spring I drove through two blizzards. One from Des Moines, IA to Lincoln, NE. Roughly 200 miles on icy roads with heavy winds. Also through heavy rains and thunderstorms this summer. Handling is good, but what sold me is the 80,000 mile life expectancy. I've since bought another set for my other car. I'll probably keep buying them as long as they make them.

CS5 is a great tire.

Good handling and traction in winter. Gas mileage is very good with these tires on. Tires tend to be on the noisy side. I drive a Chevy Equinox (AWD) so there's not much to silence tire whine, especially on a concrete surface. Last CS5' s rolled around 65,000 miles so there's good tire life if you keep them rotated and properly inflated.

Good overall tire.

I put four of these tires on my car. Less than 10,000 miles later, I've got a big chunk of rubber that's come off the outer wall of one of them and neither of the front two wants to sit without looking flat, even though both test at a good tire pressure. They're okay tires, about what you get out of any tire.

Acceptable Tire

I put these tires on a 2008 Lexus RX350. They are a good riding tire, but I only got 20,000 miles out of them and they need replaced as they are at the wear bar. I rotate my tires at every 5,000 mile interval and the car was aligned when the tires were installed.

Cooper Tires

I bought these tires in 2017 thinking they would last 6 years/80,000 miles like advertised because they were recommended by a tire shop manager. Now 2 years later in 2019 and only 42,000 miles, we are having to buy 4 more new tires again! I got a free alignment when I bought these tires from my tire shop and free lifetime tire rotations and balances on these tires and they lasted no where near the 80,000 mile mark as advertised they would last. And when you call CooperTires they don't really give much of a discount on some more tires that I really would not want again anyway and they just tell you to go back to where you bought them and have the tire dealer handle it like it is out of their hands. I will not buy CooperTires for my 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L again and will try another brand that may actually last more than 2 years.

Only lasted 42,000 miles

I have 47,000 miles on these tires and they're shot. Nowhere near the 80,000 miles wear out that the tires are advertised at. Not pleased at all. Also have a pair of Cooper truck tires. Did not get anywhere the stated mileage on those either. Won't be buying Cooper ever again.
