Look at the tread. Plenty of empty space, angled sipes - this thing just wants to eat the road. Evacuation isn't even a question. Yes, they are aggressive so they will wear faster than a more balanced winter tire, but I'll take tire expenses over an accident. I'm a Remote Technician in Vermont and these provided my 1999 Camry with the grip required to drive 30,000 miles of back roads between September and March. Just be sure to switch out of these once it gets warm. They will grind away to nothing in the mild heat of April.

I'm Obsessed With Tires - This One's a Good Choice

My girlfriend & I have a manual Scion tC that is lowered 3-inches+body kit & we live in Montana. We're tire freaks & we're very impressed with the Cooper Evolution which basically is a low profile snow stud-able tire for cars, depending what series you get of course (in our case got the 50-series). We were out test driving the tires which we were very pleased with when we had to stop at an intersection on a ice+snow covered hill. Somewhat concerned on the situation but eager to find how well they performed, the tires didn't let us down. My girlfriend was so impressed her reaction was they handled so well that they deserve a review!

Awesome Tires

Put these on a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. We had a longer and snowier winter than normal here in South Dakota and these tires really impressed me! Changed my front wheel drive van into almost an all wheel drive - when the tires were driven properly. And the new stopping distance on snow packed roads was amazing! I have recommended these tires to many people already and almost can't wait for next winter.

Great Winter Tire for Dodge Grand Caravan

I buy a lot of summer performance tires, all season Radials and truck tires for our 5 daily drivers. I'm a former auto tech and have done all of my own work for over 40 years. I have tire and balance, alignment machines and build modified cars and trucks. I know and trust the Cooper brand and have always had them on my 1953 Chevy hotrod pickup truck that I've owned since 1990.

Sorry for rambling but experience is relevant because I was somewhat shocked at the grip delivered by these Cooper Evolution Winters as was my wife after I mounted a set on the front of her front wheel drive SUV. So far it's the beginning of February in Wisconsin and these things are super effective. WARNING they grip so well from a dead stop on ice and snow that they give you a false sense of security so remember that when you have to BRAKE : )

Wear seems to be very good after three months I'll update when we get 25,000 miles or so.

Unexpected grip from a dead stop in multiple types of snow/ice cover and temperatures

I just bought theses tires 3 days ago and mounted them up the same night I got them. What a great tire for snow and ice ! I was driving in 6 inches of snow off road and they went any where without hesitation. I did get mine studded and we had freezing rain following day after installing these tires and they handled great. I didn't balance the tires and at 65 mph no vibrations no nothing. I have them on a 2 wheel drive 1500 Chevy pick up and have no doubts about getting where I have to go. I parked my 4 whee drive pick up because with these tires on my 2 wheel drive pick up I go through more then with my 4 wheel drive !! I only have 150 miles on them but love them so far and will from now on run them ! It made my little pick up a tank ! Now I wanna get a set for my wife's vet truck I like them so much.

No worries with these tires

Just put a set on my 2016 Jetta and tested them out in Erie and Pittsburgh winter weather last week. Drove around 75 miles on I-79 North in wet slick icy snow no issues at all. I put them through a half a foot of snow in Erie could not get stuck even with traction control on. Icy conditions in Pittsburgh came around a turn hit some slick spots they bit right in with traction control and I was able to keep pointing in the right direction. Coming from other brands in the past this is a solid tire for the cost. Cooper thank you.

Great Tire

I live in the snowiest town at the top of a mountain in the snowiest county in WV. Got these on a Ford Focus that I use to get stuck in my driveway.....after shoveling out. These tires got me out though the plow truck build up and a notorious part of the road that blows shut. Honestly did better than my Jeep in 4 wheel drive does. Only 1 time did traction control warning come on but I still made it a hour down the mountain.

Excellent in the snow

Winter tires perform differently than all seasons and other tires so my rating for the tire reflects that fact. The Cooper Evolution Winter is an outstanding winter tire. Winter has arrived early in Colorado so I got to test these extensively. I have had numerous different winter tires on different vehicles over the years and these are some of the best. Traction is excellent in all winter conditions so far. These tires resist breaking loose in hard cornering on icy packed snow very well, better than any winter tire I've had. If you are looking for a winter tire it would be hard to beat these for performance and price. Plus they are made in the USA!

Excellent Winter Tire

After a few Minneapolis winters and having my Matrix buried by snow plows, I finally purchased my first set of snow tires. Really happy I did and the Cooper Evolution Winter were recommended to me as a slightly cheaper alternative to the Blizzaks. Takes corners well and shorter stopping time on ice but best performance so far has been through the snow and not drifting while gassing it at intersection lights. 

The four instead of five stars is because I don't have anything to compare it to. I have noticed that the few times I have been on the highway that they are noisier than my all weather. Overall, I am happy I did it. I grew up driving in the snow in light weight foreign cars and used to driving sideways but sick and tired of getting stuck when ever there is more than 2 inches of snow. These tires make it feel like I am driving an AWD, its amazing.

Can't wait for the big snows to come!

First time buying snow tires

Worst tires ever I must have received a defective pair drove from IL to MA tread was down to nothing. Dont buy
