<p>Cords Free Tear Down Light Filtering Window Shade is a customizable, light filtering roller shade perfect for any window in the home or office.  Made of soft, easy-care, micro-ridged vinyl that will cleanly Tear Down to the desired width.   Its telescopic roller has a cardboard insert underneath the vinyl fabric that is perforated at every half inch.  The Shades plastic handrail is also scored at half inch increments to snap down to the new width of the shade without any additional tools.  Each size roller shade can be torn down a maximum of 18 inches from its total size, at half inch increments.  To operate the Cords Free Tear Down Light Filtering Window Shade simply raise or lower the handrail.  Brackets accommodate inside or outside mounting and detailed instructions are included. Read and follow the instructions and measure carefully before cutting. I ended up taking off another inch, one half at a time, to get the perfect fit for my window. Very easy to trim and adjust once you figure out what you're doing. Works well and looks great.

These are traditional, basic roller blinds. They are well built from durable materials. They should install easily, using the brackets available from WalMart.

Great quality basic window blinds

I have used similar roller shades that you can purchase in the store. But the store was out of stock. I found these online and while they are not super high quality they work just fine. They were easy to install and while they are not blackout they do block out enough light/heat  for our living room.  Window on the left has shade completely closed and the window on the right has the roller shade half opened to show the difference.

Easy to install

I bought one of the teardown shades before and it was fine, but these two are both defective. One, no matter what I do will not catch to stop when putting the shade up and down. The other one, the metal rod that is supposed to be pushed in after you tear down to the length you want, would not move. No matter how hard you pushed it in.
Would not recommend these shades.

Very satisfied with this shade. I don't usually roll the shade up and down very often, usually it's kept in one position so it should last for a while. It's good for the kitchen area, it allows light through nicely but still provides privacy. And as a bonus they included brackets, which saved me a trip. That should be standard fare with all shade brands but unfortunately is not.

Works well enough to stop sun glare on tv. Not exactly “room darkening” but definitely room dimming! Good value for the money.

It's so difficult to find these type shades so I was very happy to find them. These are excellent. The do have a tear to fit feature which is great but the size it comes in is the size perfect for my windows. The shade part is thinner than what I previously had but they are a great excellent buy.

I do not like this product.
You were once able to purchase the size that you needed. 
Now, you have to measure and cut to size and when you try to roll it back up, it never rolls evenly.
It looks terrible on my window.  I will switch to a roman shade instead
