Simple operation requires minimal technical expertise.

So glad I bought this device and found out our radon levels were 2 to 3 times above the safe limit.  Less than 24 hours after a company remediated the radon issue, we are now measuring 1.5.  Easy to use and accuracy confirmed by the remediation company!

Simple and useful

Received this as a gift just got the first 24 hour reading so far so good below the EPA action level. Most  of the reviews on this have been positive. The company seems to be very well situated in the industry thank goodness it’s not made in China.  It says that it is designed in Norway and assembled in Tunisia. 
The only thing I do not like is that your mounting options are limited it really doesn’t stand that well on its own. It has a single keyhole screw slot on the top back that you can use to put it on the wall, but I’d rather have something like a kickstand to where  it it would just stand on its own on a table or on a desk. Unfortunately I had to purchase a aftermarket item that does this so Airthings if you’re listening how about improving upon the case so it will stand securely up on its own on a desk or table? 
 I ended up using a 3M wall hanger installing a screw in it just so I wouldn’t have to put a hole in my wall, a temporary thing at the moment.

Great monitor design case can be improved upon

Purchased 3 months ago on recommendation of a friend who had his house remediated. The air sampling is drawn in from the side so whether the instrument is hung or sitting flat is of no consequence.
Accuracy of data over the short term is 10% plus or minus but over 30 days increases to 5% + or - which is accurate enough for the price. Reset and mode switches are easily accessed on the back with a ballpoint pen. Our house readings were alarmingly high ( 449 Bq / m3 ) for normal day to day living and a high of 1276 Bq / m3 when the house was closed up during a 7 day period when we were on holidays, which motivated us to have remediation done quickly. When the instrument was placed outside for 24 hrs the readings dropped to 5 Bq/ m3 which is the average for outside air.
After Remediation the short term average after 24 hours dropped to under 90 Bq / m3.  We are excited to be able to have peace of mind when winter comes and the house is closed up to keep the heat in.
The long term avg is measured over a 7 day period whereby the short term only over a 24 hour period. Differences can be accounted for because of window and door openings during the day. Our short term was 89 Bq/m3 once when we had the windows open to ventilate on a sunny warm day.

Great features for a consumer model

Bought this to confirm a high measurement from a kit I submitted. Our home’s levels are high and when the radon remediation specialist came I showed him the unit and he said “that’s a good one”. 

We are going to have a radon fan installed soon and it will be good piece of mind to be able to continue to monitor our home’s levels after remediation.

A good one!

This radon detector has shown us that our basement has dangerous levels, the sunporch is safe and the main level over our radon basement is yet to be tested. Luckily, I have a paint booth in our basement with a very powerful fan which brings the levels down fairly quickly.  Depending on our findings in the areas over the basement, we will either run the fan full time or before and during the times I am working in my shop.

We live in an old 13,000 sq ft one story 1960s school building, built on slab (complete with an underground tunnel around the perimeter with no outside ventilation)...perfect to test this unit. As expected, readings in some newly updated rooms are low, existing classrooms readings vary between 2 to 4 depending on the weather/wind, and the tunnel measures about 20. We knew our area is known for higher radon, and this unit gives us peace of mind for continued monitoring and checking our abatement procedures.

We have a perfect testing ground.

I was so happy to find a reliable radon monitor for continual use. The price is good, and it shipped fast. I've been using it for several weeks now and it just gives me peace of mind. I had no idea that people should be monitoring radon more regularly. It had been five years since I bought my house, and even though the levels were low at that time, I was nervous that it had changed. So far so good, but I am glad I have the monitor just to stay on top of it. I've recommended this product to all my friends and family already. Also, I love that this is a small company that I am supporting. I'd definitely consider buying additional products from them in the future.

Great Product

The device is simple and intuitive, and I really appreciate having a live readout. It's hard to track down the source of radon because levels fluctuate day-to-day, so if it were cheaper I'd buy two and put them in different rooms. There are holes on the back, so I'm not clear if you're supposed to stand it up so it can breathe, or lay it down.

Works how you'd expect

It gives me a current radon reading, which means I do not have to wait and then pay for someone to come and do an annual reading. I have more information with less bother and at a lower cost. My only reservation is that I am not sure the short term readings are consistent with changes in the long term reading. I will determine the device's true reliability over time.

Convenient and Cost Effective

This device lasts about 1 or 2 years. 
Be warned that this device doesn't work very long. 
It is an average radon device, but it has a very limited lifespan.
