I have always been a fan of the Cosco brand. The Scenera NEXT car seat keeps your child safer with its side impact protection which is built into the headrest. It also comes with the five-point harness (which is highly recommended by pediatricians) that adjusts easily from the front of the seat. It contains the harness features five heights and three buckle locations which assures the best fit to your growing child. This car seat is universal and can be used in any chosen vehicle, even an airplane. Its lightweight and compact design allows for easy carrying without weighing you down. The seat cover comes in a wide range of styles and colors, all which remove from the seat and are both machine washable and dryer safe. The car seat straps are easy to reassemble as well as the seat cover. This car seat can either be rear-faced (5-40 pounds) or forward-faced (22-40 pounds).

I highly recommend this product if you looking for a high quality car seat that your child could grow in.

Convertible Car Seat

I bought this seat to keep in my car for my granddaughter. I pick her up every weekend and moving seats from car to car is just inconvenient. This seat is lightweight but still does its job. Not to mention the seat that she has in her mom's car is super heavy and a pain to carry back and forth! I'm very satisfied with this purchase!

Perfect

This is perfect for traveling or throwing into a grandparent's vehicle. I bought it for going on vacation in Florida and it was perfect for this purpose. It's very lightweight and easy to take through TSA and gate check. Also very easy to install. 

Now, with that being said I wouldn't use it for everyday use. I don't think it is super comfortable and my son did fuss a bit more when he was little (I think he was just used to his very cushy Graco).

I bought this carseat for my niece at the recommendation of my friend/carseat tech, and they couldn't be happier! It was shipped and delivered in 9 days, even through the Christmas season, in perfect condition and the weight/height limits for rear facing (my main concern) are the best bang for your buck. Easy to install and overall just really happy with this purchase.

Fast Shipping, Awesome Seat!

I bought this car seat for a specific purpose, so I'm basing my review on that. I needed something lightweight and slim to use on an airplane and while traveling. The scenera came highly recommended for that. It's extremely basic, and not what I would prefer for every day use in the car. However, if you're on a budget, it would be just fine. But 10/10 for a travel seat.

Lightweight seat for travel

We just flew with a Cosco scenara Next DLX (black/grey) car seat on Southwest.  So the seat belt buckle wasn't under LO's butt, I twisted the non-buckle side of the seat belt as much as I could and then ran the buckle side through. When I tightened it the buckle was just on the outside of the car seat so it didn't cause any issues.  I don't know if Southwest wants us twisting their seat belts but if you didn't they would sit right on the big buckle or have it in their back side if front facing.  Also one note is Southwest seat pitch doesn't allow the seat to be flat on its rear facing reclined position so we kind of wedged it in there. It worked overall and was so nice having baby in his own seat. He slept for 2 of the 3 hours and easy to feed him snacks and entertain him  the rest of the way.  This car seat is very light weight and easily carried with a couple fingers.  We were able to just use the tether strap and loop it over our stroller. It may not be the most padded seat but our LO falls asleep quickly about  every time he's in it.  Would definitely recommend for travel and a spare seat.  It's probably not one I would recommend for daily use, but you certainly could if this is all that meets your budget. Our guy has yet to show any signs of discomfort.  We did use the strap pads off of his Chicco KeyFit30 for a little more comfort.

Very lightweight. Great for travel.

We bought this as a spare seat for our 2.5 year old who is rear facing. It is extremely light and easy to install. It installed really well in both vehicles with the UAS and seatbelt. The only downside is how easily the harness straps get twisted, but luckily, they untwist very easily. The polka dots are so cute!

Great for extended rear facing

I use this for the vehicles my toddler rides in the least - in laws, my parents, and for flight travel. Works like a charm and my 1 yr old even napped in it on the plane! But beware- you need to carry the seat on your back in a bag through the plane aisle when boarding or exiting. Don't try to carry it in front of you - the aisles are way too tight and I learned the hard way, with an audience no less. 
Doesn't have the plush cushion but does the job just fine. Solid chair.

Good back up seat %26 for flights

This car seat was delivered to me without a BOX! I have no way of knowing if the car seat was damaged in transport or safe to use now. It was literally delivered in this plastic covering. I am going to have to return this in store now and purchase a different one as I cannot trust that it is safe to use.

Delivered without a box…

It's crazy that this car seat comes up so often as a travel favorite in numerous blogs and reviews. I expected better given it's so popular. The lightweight nature of this seat cannot save it from the obvious flaws....To begin with, it arrives with zero packing materials in the box. Great for the environment, not great for your brand new car seat. I tried to look past that until I found hairline cracks in the plastic, likely due to the lack of packaging and transit. Also I thought the non-adjustable center strap wouldn't be a big deal, but trust me it's a big deal. My kid started screaming instantly once buckled in the seat and it was soo tight around the thigh area...the center plastic piece was practically underneath my kids bottom since you cannot adjust it (I'm talking about the center hard plastic piece that the two shoulder straps click into). As if this wasn't enough, you practically have to have your kid laying flat in this thing. What toddler wants to lay flat for hours on end? Not mine. Horrible experience with this car seat. I would not recommend this to anyone for travel. Spend a few more bucks and get something better quality, with basic features like adjustable straps and more than seating position. Oh one last thing, this comes with no shoulder pads, but you can request those direct from the vendor (if you don't return this thing immediately upon receipt like I did). Worst kid purchase I've ever made.
