I mainly use it so I dont have to run our central AC in the house.  i live in Southern CA, 100s degree days during the summer, and with electricity prices skyrocketing,  this unit is effective and helps keep our SCE bills a little lower.

perfect for my hot humid room

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised that this worked as well as it did. I liked that it was quieter than I thought it would be. It took a bit to cool the rooms but once it did it was great. It did cool the 3 rooms on the main floor of my house with the kitchen not being as cool as the living room and bedroom but not bad I thought. I really enjoy the standing model as opposed to the window ac so I'm happy I tried this.

Worth the money

It works but it is noisy. It's cooling great and on sleep mode at the lowest fan level and I still find it too loud.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit was defective right out of the box, the heater setting just clicks but won't come on unless you manually set the temp to 90F.  Was hoping to stay warm this winter, not just buy something else I need to fix. Disappointing.

Defective right out of the box

Arrived just in time for the 35 degree heat wave in central AB. Bought it because our dog was struggling in the heat and panting a lot (we have no basement) and we also couldn't sleep properly. Set it up after waiting 24 hours just in case it had been tilted or turned over during delivery. Set it up as per instructions and felt instant relief from the heat. Slick looking machine and decently quiet. Ran it for about 8 hours for two days. Came home and turned it on one night when it had reached 37 in our apartment....machine kicked on and within about 5 minutes made a weird noise and then stopped blowing cold air. didn't matter what we did it just blew hot air form that point on. Lasted a whopping three days. Returned because there is no way i had the time to deal with that!
