Great

So far, so good....but many points to take into account. Foremost to consider is that this unit does not qualify for the Hydro-Quebec rebate program. Secondly, the professional installer informed me that the "gas" that allows the heat exchange unit to function is not available in Canada and that in case of a leak the unit will not be able to be refilled. Third, allow three weeks before the delivery of both units. Fourth, the copper tubing for transfer of the refrigerant is only thirteen feet in length.....limiting where you are able to install both units. Fifth, you will need a dedicated electrical circuit to your entry box ...since we were in the process of having a new 200 amp entry installed into our older home, the overall cost of installation was included in the final cost. Thus, budget at least 1K for the unit itself to be connected and put into place. And be prepared to do much of the grunt work yourself. Finally, it will take awhile before we can calculate if the switch from oil to this new system is more economical; ie: this has been a milder winter, electrical cost comparison, having a back up system installed. All in, it works for us, kept the house cool during a heat wave, and warm whenever we used it this winter.

Much to consider!

It came in in two boxes one arrived two weeks after the first one and it was banged up (damaged during shipping) but not enough to return. Very easy to install it took a few hours.
