But on one of the chairs there wasn't a pilot hole any the wood is hard and the screw came out the side of the chair thank goodness it was to the back. Will have to find a way so you won't get hurt on the screw sticking out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really love these two sets, but I'm giving them three stars because they require extensive weekly or bimonthly oiling in areas with humidity below 35-40%. They are out 5 out of 10 for sturdiness. Assembly was simple—nothing was broken, and all parts were included. After sitting outside for two weeks, I noticed the wood had dried out, with a few cracks appearing. I treated them with tung tree oil and may seal them next or use beeswax for extra protection. I hope they hold up over time, but regular upkeep is necessary for longevity. They are comfortable to sit on, though individuals with larger body frames may find the design somewhat restrictive and shorter folks may have a hard time sitting up onto the chair.

Needs care for longevity

Easy to put together, did have to undo a couple things and turn pieces around because the pictures are pretty small. Seems to be sturdy so far. The varying colors of the wood almost make it look like someone sanded some areas and didn't finish it. And other areas are very dark. I did not see that in the pictures or I probably would not have purchased it.
