I own an Aliner Ranger, a small, hard sided A frame camper. Although it came with a propane furnace, the furnace is Loud and heats until the camper is an oven, then shuts off until it is frigid cold, them restarts to repeat the process!  We tried a small ceramic forced air heater, which was slightly less noisy, but still hot, cold, hot, cold cycle was just as extreme.  I had considered an oil filled heater, but all the other models I saw were way too large for the campers interior space.  This little guy is just the right size to sit on the counter in front of the ac and because of its lower surface temp, I can still use the remainder of the counter. Temperature dipped into the mid 30s last night, but the camper stayed at 70.  Setting the temperature  is a little tricky, you let it warm the area just a little warmer than you want, then turn the temperature control dial counter clockwise until it clicks to stop the oil heating.  When it cools slightly, the thermostat will click again heating the oil again until the set point is reached and the cycle repeats.  The clicks are quiet and the fluctuation in room temperature is almost unnoticeable.  This is a small heater and will take some time to warm your space so give yourself time to fiddle with it before you go to sleep!

Excellent, QUIET! heat for the camper!

I haven't used it that much, but I'm giving it five stars.  It's better reviewed on Amazon, and overall, I think it's a good compact heater.  I use this in my living room and it's perfect.  Later when I can afford it, I will buy another for my bathroom.

I bought two compact radiator heaters from Bi-Mart, and they held up for a few years and then conked out --not happy about that, because this is a big chunk of oil filled metal which is difficult to recycle, plus, my mom was born in 1938 and I inherited her DeLonghi radiator heater, which survived its extension cord meltdown, with no problems at all and is till going strong to this day.  The smaller radiator heaters should perform the same!!!  I'm guessing that this Costaway heater will fare better than my prior Bi-Mart ones.  I love Bi-Mart, but their radiator heaters were second rate.

The full size radiator heaters are great, but I really love these compact ones, which can be more easily stored away and then pulled out for the colder months, plus they can fit under desks, etc., more easily.  Only time will tell how long this heater lasts, but at the moment I have confidence in it.

Oh and these are so much better than forced air heaters!!!  They're just not even comparable, and I can vouch that I haven't had a cold in the 15 years since I've been using oil heating.  I am dead serious about that, I have not had a cold in the last 15 years since I've been using oil based heat.  God bless.

Love the compact, versatile size

My laundry room was added on to my house decades ago. Although it is insulated, it can still be very chilly. I purchased little heater to prevent the possibility of freezing pipes. So far, it is working wonderfully! Perfect size for a small room! Soda can in the photo is for scale.

Great small heater!

I bought this to provide a little extra heat in my home office. It's a small room (11x11) with 2 exterior walls and one 6” supply from the furnace.  It's also furthest run from the furnace and the duct routing is not ideal.  The room is typically 3-4 degrees colder than other rooms in the house, especially when the door is closed.  I placed this heater near the floor register to help circulate the heat.  700w is more than enough to supplement the heat for my space, and I'm not tripping over a 1500w behemoth or overloading the circuit.

I read several negative reviews and did not have the same experience.  The item I received was as pictured (with brand labels) and the dimensions are as described.  It gets warm to the touch, but not hot…it's not supposed to be hazardously hot. Despite the name, radiators are convective heaters, not radiant heaters. They heat the air in a room, not the objects directly.  This won't work in a big space or a space with high ceilings. The thermostat does make an audible click when it turns on and off. It isn't loud, but it might disturb someone who is a very light sleeper.  Other than the occasional click, it does not make any sound while operating. I personally don't find it to be disturbing and is very minor compared to the hum of a fan or radiant heating element. I also did not notice any smell when it was initially started or since. 

No leaks or quality issues yet, but time will tell. I'm all, this meets my intended purpose.

Warms up my son's room perfectly. No chemical smell at all if you let the unit rest for at least 2 hours after shipment (as the manual says).

Small heater for a small room

So far so good! Hard to find a oil heater that's not 1500W. This one here can actually be plugged in to a circuit that's used for other purposes. As other people have mentioned, the plastic feet don't exactly inspire confidence and are likely to break before the unit, rendering the heater useless at that point. 

Heat output is great and the unit is so small it disappears amongst larger furniture.

The only oil heater that can share a circuit

Received  a rear foot damaged product. Tested run without rear foot, it works. Low watts is the advantage of this product and it achieved. Contacted with Walmart Customer service, and was told to contact with third party seller. Then found out the link for Goplus Corp, but it is not leading me to anywhere. Even in Walmart my account doesn't show this order history. Need to find out how to contact with this Goplus Corp to get that damaged rear foot replaced. Hope can get it replaced.

Costway 700W oil heater

I've got a partially insulated downstairs office that was just bone chilling during an unseasonable cold snap we recently had here in B.C. I had a dinky ceramic heater that struggled to heat even a small corner so I was looking for a compact oil-filled unit that wouldn't take up too much space, which is surprisingly hard to find. I saw some comments about just how tiny this unit is and it is indeed less than half the size of conventional ones. But wow, it makes all 150 square feet super toasty on a 3/4 setting. Really saved my productivity this winter.

Only thing that would have been nice to have are some caster wheels and a tip-over safety feature. Not a huge deal though since I just keep it under my desk.

Awesome affordable little oil heater

The smell is so bad!  I have other oil filled heaters (of different brands) in my home, they emit no smell whatsoever.  This one fills the room with an acrid burning smell, it's horrible.  I bought this to heat a kids room with, but I'm afraid to expose my kids to this awful odor.  I thought maybe it would go away after a few days, but I'm on day 4 now and it still stinks.  It's too bad, as it does put out quite a lot of heat for such a small unit, but it's basically unusable due to the odor problem.

Emits a nasty odor, really unpleasant to use.
