COSTWAY Bicycle Trainer SP37140

The product itself is great. The directions are lowsey. You MUST have a quick release back wheel to use as is. I had to have a friend do some work in his shop to get mine to work. And there are directions on his to calibrate and/or adjust the speed control.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Build quality feels solid but basic. Make sure your bike has a quick release axle and not a thru axle to use this. If you have a thru axle bike you will need an adapter. Getting the back wheel centered properly can be a frustrating task that kind of discourages you from taking the bike on and off frequently to bike outside. But it does work as intended once you have it centered properly. Not a bad product at all but it's not exactly pocket change so you'd be fine waiting for a sale.

Does the job

Easy to assemble (15 minutes). Ok sturdiness - not for a “serious” road biker but perfect for those of us just trying to get in some exercise during the pandemic. Came with a broken front wheel pad- contacted customer service to just replace that (and not have to ship back entire trainer). They were great- replacement shipped, given tracking number, now just waiting for part to arrive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this didnt work unfortunately. the bolts were stripped and stuck. the resistances didn't work. tinkered with it a few times to ensure it was put together right but the resistance wouldnt increase. it was wobbly and not very safe feeling. after watching videos and reading product instructions over and over and exhaustion of every possibility to make it work. I purchased this to continue my home PT thinking I could save some money. but ended up having to spend way more  anyway bc I just decided to buy a stationary bike. this being more of a issue with the stripped bolts and lack of resistances I may have gotten a faulty part bc ive seen decent reviews from others. when manually spinning the resistance piece like a tire would have it made grinding noises.
