Waited a while to fill this out as we wanted to try a few of the experiments. I loved these because they were things my step daughter could truly do with minimal help and direction. It was a fun way to get her reading and working on how to follow directions, as well as some fun science mixed in and great discussions followed up by some research of our own! Not much holds attentions for more than 20 minutes at our house, and we've gotten a few hours of fun from this kit. Between dying flowers, making a volcano (volcano is very small in size, we are now being asked if we can get more products to make a larger version!), multiple mixing activities, and a few others, we've played so much! Great purchase for low key, fun activities for kids who just want to do something hands on.

I am a science teacher with a little girl. I approve of this kit because it was really amazing. There are enough activities and information to learn for a few days! The experiments are easy, colorful and so much fun. Highly recommend.

Fun for kids!

Lots of cool crafts to do in this lot and Crayola is great. Can't beat the price but we did 2 in one day and felt like a. lot of work. Will have to try again - good directions

$42 at Michael's, $20 at Walmart!

Ordered for a 1st grader who is now in virtual classes due to the pandemic. He likes having activities and these are easy enough that his mom doesn't need to guide every step.

Fun for virtual learning

This is a really cool set and I'm extremely happy I got this for my 7 yr old daughter. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't really explain the science behind what's happening in the experiments. Fortunately (or maybe unfortunately sometimes haha) for my daughter, I am a polymer chemist and I understand everything that's happening, but most people won't and I think the real impact will be lost. Still super fun and comes with much more than I anticipated from how the description was worded. Definitely a good buy if your kids are curious about colors, science, out just like doing experiments.

Great kit with lots of fun experiments

This science experiment set is very fun to learn about trying out new ideas and having kids explore the world of science. It is a great set but the only problem I had is matching the needed items for each experiment to the items included in the box. The first page in the instructions show everything it comes with but the font of each of the names are very small to read, other than that it is a very good product. Would definitely recommend to any parent of a child who likes science experiments.

Great product for little scientist's

I bought 2 for my kids.  My 7 years old can read and do MOST of the experiment by himself.  The box recommend 7+.  My 4 yrs old daughter needed a lot of help but I didn't mind since I was having so much fun myself! Highly recommended to keep the kids busy learning and having fun. There are so many experiments in one box. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because not all ingredients are in the box for all the experiments. For example, a couple experiments require corn starch, or apple cider vinegar.

Great buy to keep the kids busy

My 6 year old grandson loved this set that we got for Christmas.  It kept him busy for hours.  The reason for the 4 stars -  there needed to be lots of supervision during the fun of this set as it is very messy.  Also,  you do need other items to do many of the experiments, but I would definately recommend this for any 6 yr old or above.

The reason why I gave it two stars and not one is because one of the projects “worked”. My mom bought this for my son and we did two projects and the glow on the go didn't work at all and the sticky slime was so sticky that it seem like it didn't work but we just going to say it did. I wouldn't buy it it's not worth the money at all!

Don't buy it

I like the kit. When you open the instruction booklet there is a list of included materials. Here is the problem, next to the included materials there is a list of materials you will need to provide. Some can be found around the house, but many of the materials need to be purchased. Who has contact lens solution around the house? How many people have glow in the dark paint at home? I don't have a carnation. The package is misleading. My niece thought safety glasses would be included, as appear on the box, and was disappointed when there weren't any in the box. We'll do the experiments that don't require the materials that need to be purchased. I wouldn't have purchased this set if I knew about the missing materials.
