It is perfect for a half table. It is not cheap looking and even my husband likes it. It is not a reading lamp if that is what you are looking for. It's ambient lighting.

This lamp may be nice for someone, it just wasn't for me. The resin birds were painted with a shiny, almost glittery metallic coating, that took away from its appearance. If I had more time, I would have repainted the base to look more appealing. Overall it wasn't a bad deal, and was fully operational, but the quality could have been better. Thankfully the return process was easy, so if you want to give it a try, it wouldn't hurt. It just may be what you're looking for.

Not Quite For Me

The finish is too orange, like a brass with too much tangerine. It has a thick shiny coating that looks like it was put on quickly with one thick coat rather than thin layers. The birds themselves are nice, a bit clumsy, but the branches are much lumpier and much less realistic than the birds.  The base is painted in the same bright orangy brass color but with some black paint rubbed on top, most likely to give it an aged look but fails in that respect. The shade is also poor quality covered in thin fabric. When the light bulb is on it's sheer and if you have the wrong side facing you can see the seams due to the farely sheer fabric overlapping. Although it looks like the picture, it's disappointing in real life.
