Design

My only negative feedback: I wish I had paid closer attention to the actual size of the chair. Luckily we have a rather large shower room, but this chair takes up considerable space.

Otherwise the chair is extremely functional and good value. I am certain it will last longer than we do!

Purchased this for my wife who just had knee surgery, I had a bit of difficulty putting the thing together but that was my fault [who reads directions?]. Anyhow the product seems well-built and she like the fact that you can easily adjust the chair's height.

Shower Chair

I recently purchased the Moen Home Care shower chair for my husband who is handicapped due to stroke and suffers partial paralysis of his left leg and arm. He feels very safe & comfortable using the chair because it is very sturdy, the legs have a wide-spread (foot print), and the feet do not slip on our walk-in shower floor surface. I personally like the mesh seat material which allows water to drain off. Easy to assemble. I recommend this to everyone who is handicapped. Thanks Moen!

Moen Home Care DN7100 Glacier shower chair

Very well designed. Easy to place in and take out of shower. Small arm rests superior to a straight arm rest. Allows for easier arm maneuvering in shower. Adjustment of legs requires heavy pressure to depress and reseat ball, but the height range is more than adequate. Moen is to be commended.

Perfect!

This chair is rated for a higher weight than other shower chairs but the space between the arms is smaller than the seat is. I simple did not install the arms and the chair is very study and does not move in the shower. I love the comfy seat and back. I have this chair adjusted to the tallest height and I can easily stand up and sit back down without the chair moving. I love the razor and soap holders on the side. I am very happy with this chair.

Great chair for heavier people!!

Very sturdy when getting in/out of the tub. Much better than the plastic ones you get after surgery from the hospital.

Sturdy shower chair

There are quite a few parts. Read the directions. Should take 1/2 hour to assemble. Seat is mesh which prevents pooling of water. Arms designed so that they do not interfere with washing. Walmart has best price.

The design needs to be changed on this chair to allow the handles to drop down to allow a person to transfer from a wheelchair, then move the handles back into position to provide stability for the person taking a shower.  So close to perfect!!!!!
I will keep looking for the seemingly elusive design for a truly functional shower chair.

Great Start But Needs Rethinking

I bought this based on the reviews however my father's aide doesn't like it because it doesn't have suction cup feet. Dad reaches for one arm when transferring (even though we say reach for both) and it tips. I'm surprised the cheaper competitors models that are flimsy have these feet but this pricy one does not. Are suction cup feet available?

Feet allow tipping

Received this chair yesterday and should have refused the delivery.  This chair is so poorly designed.  Doesn't fit inside a normal bath tub it too wide.  Tried placing it in our new ADA walk in shower and its too bulky.  Next the hand rails are quite wobbly and to no adjust for persons who need to transfer from wheelchair.  This chair should be taken off the market since the design for those that need it was never considered. Most bathroom don't have space to use this chair.
