It even has an educational section that shows how seeds grow. I love that you can see the roots growing in the container. She's having a blast keeping it alive!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is definitely one of the most interesting and fun things I have experienced together with my children. They were so excited to get started on this kit once I brought it home. Clear instructions were given and it was so easy to put together. My kids are ages 6 and 8, but I imagine this would also be great for kids of any age. Within a few days, we noticed roots growing at the bottom. Within a week, we noticed sprouts springing up. After a few weeks in, the sprouts were growing so tall that we decided to remove the cap off the jar to give it more room to grow. And it definitely grows. It's now over 6 inches past the top of the jar. The kids are amazed at how much it grows every day that goes by. I don't know how long this will last, but I have a feeling it'll be here for a while as long as we keep spraying it down with water. It's one of those things where a little bit of money goes a long way!

Everyday they came home asking to water their grass lol I highly suggest it as it's super easy, simple packaging and simple instructions!

Our cat has knocked it over multiple times and no breaks and I really appreciated that it wasn't this giant obnoxious box for a small activity.

The box gave a pamphlet with 5 or 6 easy to follow instructions. After about two days we had rooting, and by day 4 the terrarium was steamy and looked like those photos attached to this review. We were given this Grow and Glow terrarium for free for my honest review.

She had so much fun learning about the different layers the soil needed to be placed in so the plants could grow. She has been watering her plants for the past month now and they have grown so much we had to remove the lid. She has already talked me into buying a different kit from the same brand so she can do it again.

They used their creativity to decorate the jar and were so excited that the figures, some stickers, and the sand glowed in the dark. My kids were very impatient after planting, but the seeds started sprouting after about 3 days, and we measured their growth every day. We did struggle with a small mold ball growing on top of the soil despite only misting the seeds with the included sprayer and leaving the lid off and in a sunny location. I like that the kit includes enough seeds and rocks to be able to plant again. It's not a big deal that I need more soil to do it again, but i do wish that it included more glow in the dark sand to use for future uses.

Kids loved this glow in the dark terrarium

The first instruction is to mix the soil with 1/2 cup of water and mix the soil until clumpy like clay.  We did this and it was way too much water.  It never clumped up and all our additional layers became one.  Looks like cat litter and nothing like the package displays.  Bummer
