Operates at a rate four times quicker than its predecessor.

Simple to set up with no issues reported.

We love the Cricut!  Does things that we probably haven't even figured out. watch videos and see what all you will dneed to do what you are wantinh to do. 

Unfortunately, Walmart put us through the wringer trying to get one, and it became a 3 day event even though I had it in my hands. The machine is great, though!  If I had it to do over, I would buy the same machine but order through Amazon instead of jumping through Walmarts hoops.

So many projects you can make on this Cricuit Explore 3. I am about to do the Glass Etch project using stencil and I'm so excited! It's quick and instructions are easy to follow. 

I would recommend looking up YT videos on how to get the best use of your machine for a beginner.

Worth it

Bought for a gift to my sister after opening and reading about it she wanted to upgrade to a 4 this was a 3 so she is looking for the 4 this 3 was perfect

I wrestled with this purchase and did a lot of research to find the perfect machine for me. I can now say I've never been happier with my decision. I'm have the best time creating Christmas gifts for my family and friends. Learning more and more about it everyday.

Cricut

This is actually my second one as my first one just stopped working. Tried to call the company. to see if I could get another cord. I was so disappointed when I had to totally buy a brand new machine. but I guess that's the way things go.

I won't lie. It's definitely a learning curve in the beginning. You have to learn a new tool all the features to it but my husband and my family and I love this product so much. The only thing for me is the learning curve. I wish they had better instructions. They have videos but more detailed because there's things that happens that sometimes videos don't mention.

Great product but huge learning curve

This machine is faster and quieter than my explore air 2, but is does not always cut through everything  the first time (i.e. cardstock, laminate sheets, cut and print iron on sheets).  I am using the blade  that came with the machine.  I have changed blades and used new mats, added more pressure, and calibrated the machine (again) checked for updates. I labored over making this purchase and I am very disappointed in its performance.

Not cutting ll the way through

I would not recommend this useless machine it's so slow it takes forever to cut a simple line if you use print and cut it prints low quality i never write reviews but this machine is not what you expect it would do its so slow

This was my post
 For all those wondering if they should get the new explorer 3… DONT DO IT!!

Just got the explorer 3, I also have the maker. I LOVE my maker!! I needed a second machine. The explorer 3 is AWFUL. The maker is faster than the explorer 3. I have done comparison tests. (Like with a stopwatch) Apparently you have to use the smart vinyl to get that “speed”. The smart vinyl is poor quality, very limited colors and is expensive!! The design Space software for all cricuts is TERRIBLE! But the explorer 3 with the design space forces a crash, app shuts down in the middle of the cut. When sending to the machine, the software freezes, you have to close out the app and restart. (Yes, my internet connection is high speed, new iPad and software is up to date). 
Additionally, the machine randomly turns off, like it has a short!
Also the cut compared to my original maker is not close to the same quality as the explorer 3. 
The explorer 3 case/shell is made of a low quality, feels like a rough plastic. 
I should have read more but I didn't know the roller is an accessory that has to be purchased additional. 
So disappointed! 
Cricut, you can and should do better than this:( the hype is not all it is cracked up to be! I loved my explorer air 2 and my current maker, but this is not Cricut quality that I have been accustomed to for years.

Don't believe the hype

The hardware is well made and easy to operate. The software is an abortion! I own and regularly use a 3D  Printer, Laser Engraver / cutter and do all my design work on Photoshop. I am a former IT director and  if I worked for Cricut, I'd send the software engineers back to McDonalds where they belong! 

To add insult to injury, they are so persistent with their constant barrage of banner ads for their "Access" subscription, which is absolutely useless for me, that they place banner adds covering important buttons, like cancel,  that are no no longer accessible. These people should be in the time share business, or maybe they were. 

My applications are all commercial, no cutsie unicorn sticker, no mugs or the like. 

all my other Printers, 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, etc have various software packages available. Not so with Cricut.The software in incredibly buggy as well. I was informed that my 8.5" x 24" was too small to cut two 4" square designs and I needed to reduce the size of the items to be cut?!
There are other vinyl cutters on the market, identically priced  that don't barrage you with an upsell through their buggy software and force you into using their buggy software. 

I'll be returning this product ASAP!
