It was a learning curve for me.  I bought it to only cut out paper ephemera.  It's supposed to accept jpegs but it won't accept all of them.  Some jpegs have to be resized tp pngs to work.  That is frustrating.  But I'm adapting.  So all i all i like it.

Decent when it works.

Cricut

I am so glad I bought this! I’m finding myself using it constantly. The size is perfect and I’m doing tons of print and cut projects. It’s so easy to slide it around on my work surface, and it’s absolutely ideal for anything involving 8.5x11 paper. (I have an original Maker that’s been struggling due to eroded rubber rollers, and I’ve hardly used it since I got my Joy Xtra.)

I am in love with this machine

Super easy to get started, great instructions. I’ve only had it a little while and I’ve made 6 projects already. I love it so much I’m keeping it on my craft table instead of on my Cricut Cart. The size is perfect because it uses 8.5 x 11 paper or smaller. Super product!!

Lovin’ It!!

I absolutely love the Cricut Joy Xtra. It’s so quick and easy to use, which makes crafting feel a lot less intimidating. The setup was simple and I was able to start making projects almost right away. The machine cuts really well and the whole process feels smooth and straightforward, even if you’re not super experienced with crafting machines.

Another thing I really like is the size. It’s compact enough that it doesn’t take up much space on my desk, but it’s still big enough to handle plenty of different projects. It’s the perfect size for someone who wants a capable machine without having a huge piece of equipment sitting out all the time.

Overall, it’s been a great addition for making decals, and little craft projects. It’s fast, easy to use, and the size makes it really convenient to keep out and use whenever inspiration hits. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a simple and reliable crafting machine.

Absolutely LOVE it!!

Loving my cricit joy extra! It’s small but mighty and I love that it does not take up too much space. My whole family loves that I bought it and asks me to make them things all the time. If you’re on the edge of getting one, I recommend pulling the trigger and practicing!

Small but mighty!

Works as expected cutting vinyl and sticker paper, it does have trouble cutting through laminated paper however, even with the pressure set to more. Especially so with holographic laminate etc, so to fix that I copy and pasted my stickers on top of each other so it would cut it out twice and that seemed to work. Also it does NOT come with the sticky mat, which is needed if you want to cut anything other than the cricut smart vinyl. It would be helpful if it said this on the site but it does not unfortunately. Other than that I’m pretty happy with it!

Cricut Joy Xtra

I’ve only used it a couple times, I bought it because I needed something small that I could take with me when traveling that would do more than the joy, but it’s still a little big and heavy. Wish I would have waited on the new joy2 that would have been perfect.

Joy extra

I bought the Cricut Joy plus, with a membership.  All i wanted this for was to make merch for my business, .. vinyl window lettering & logo, & business cards. I can't do any of those! You have to be a genius,  and it DOES NOT WORK WITH MY SAMSUNG S22..which it stated nowhere. My recommendation is that you just simply pay somebody to make these things, as businesses do. Save your money it's junk and the subscription gets you nothing

Not user friendly

I bought this to take to crops as it was small and portable. Well, my machine connected fine at home.It will not connect to bluetooth in a large crop setting. Another cropper with the same machine is having exactly the same problem. I'm at a three day crop that I didn't bring other materials to because I had planned on using this Cricket Joy Xtra and now can't. Very disappointed. We have multiple Cricket users troubleshoot with us and can't find the problem.

Can't use as planned.

Was very excited to finally get and use a Cricut for my crafting, and everything was great until I ran the Cricut Design Space app, which is required to use the Cricut, and it only throws generic errors and refuses to run. I've tried to resolve this for several weeks, trying everything I can find on the support site or elsewhere online and none have worked. Despite tons of people running into this issue there is no apparent solution to getting this software working on a Windows 11 PC, making the device useless.

If anyone from Cricut sees this, I am an experienced desktop software developer and would love to help get this problem fixed. If I can provide any info, testing, repro steps, or core dumps, please reach out to me. My order # is 182779901 to assist in looking up my order and contact info.
