I accidentally bought this thinking it was normal transfer tape…I messed up so many decals before I realized it was strong grip 😅

STRONG

I use my Cricut mainly to cut leather and this holds my leather in place beautifully.  Works great for anything thicker than 3oz leather, which I've cut from 3oz to 5oz leather using the Cricut Explore Air 2 (I did a You Tube Tutorial on this).  It is very adhesive, so given the other reviews, I wouldn't use this for any thin materials.  I always cut my leather with the flesh side down and remove the transfer tape very gently.

If you need to transfer glitter vinyl or vinyl with some heavy texture, this is the transfer tape you need to use!!!  Regular transfer tape or masking tape does not have the strength to transfer anything but regular vinyl, so this is a necessity for any crafter.

Strongest Transfer Tape

I found this very frustrating to use for what I was using it for. I go with the standard grip, it my preference. Maybe I'll need a stronger grip later, I'm still learning. I originally used it for printable vinyl labels.

Too much of a grip!

This is not for normal projects used with Cricut Smart Vinyls-permanent or otherwise. It does not allow the vinyl to stick on anything due to the overpowering stickiness of the transfer tape. You cannot get the vinyl off of this transfer tape! Not sure what this would work on, but most def does not work with any vinyl!

Absolute garbage transfer tape!! It should be a special order for the only 2 products it's compatible with, otherwise it will ruin any other vinyl you try and use with it. Huge waste of money. Will never use this product again! Also, the packaging should say very clearly that it is only useful with the glitter and shimmer vinyl and a “do not use with normal vinyls”, not just “strong hold”.

Garbage of a Product

I bought the strong grip hoping it worked for the Joy Shimmer vinyl.  Compared to two other brands I tried first, the StrongGrip lifted the cut vinyl without too much trouble, but transferring the cut vinyl to my project was very difficult.  The vinyl was so attached to the transfer paper it took real effort to transfer the vinyl without damage.  I didn't enjoy the process AT ALL and would not buy Shimmer again because it's so difficult to use.  I will say that the material looks very nice on the Yeti cups I made.  I hope the vinyl stands up to hand washing.  It's more like a foil than a vinyl in many ways.  I can't imagine what other medium I would use it on and additionally, StrongGrip is a pricey product compared to many other very good brands.

Difficult

This stuff is a waste of money and time and materials. Printed my decals perfectly, had limited vinyl to use and used this transfer tape and it became permanently stuck to my vinyl decals (made from Oracle 651). Bringing it back for a refund, which is more wasted time and I can't get refunded for the loss of vinyl.

Waste of money, time, and materials

This transfer tape will not release the vinyl onto my project. I had to peel the vinyl off the tape using multiple tools, stretching and tearing the vinyl. It left a sticky residue all over the vinyl AND the surface o was transferring to. DO NOT BUY.
