May not be justified by its functionality and compatibility limitations.

This is worth the investment. I bought the Cricut Venture and Everything Bundle on sale and it has transformed the way our small non-profit has been able to thank donors and create shirts for our local volunteer events. I was able to cut 27 shirts in 31 minutes. I used to cut it one by one on my Cricut Joy Xtra, and it was on average about 4 minutes per cut for the same design. 

I look forward to exploring different materials to cut or draw with the Cricut Venture.

Worth the Investment

Super fast and cuts so many different materials.  I bought it to create charts for my classroom, so I'm excited to start outfitting my class!  Perfect price point around Black Friday.  I wish that I could have afforded the stand as well, but I've made it work in my craft room.

Love this machine!

This is the machine I didn't know I needed! Yes, it's large. It does take up a lot of space, so if you are tight on space it may not be for you. BUT...if you can swing it with the stand, you won't regret it. I'm a casual crafter, not a business owner. However, I find myself turning to this machine for even single mats or small items as it is FAST. Like crazy fast. And, the cuts are precision. I have not had a bad cut or score on this machine. I love how it draws. I was able to make a posterboard welcome sign for a party and it was perfect! I have no regrets with this purchase and love showing it off to my crafty friends!

The cutting machine you did not know you needed!

I absolutely love the new Venture! It was an easy set up, I made my first project right away. I craft a lot , but don't sell anything so this was just for me. The speed and ease that it makes multiple projects is amazing. My Christmas crafting is off to a good start! I do also have the Maker which I still use. The Venture  gives me more flexibility to make larger projects.

Loving the Venture! Not just for business.

This machine is beyond amazing, the speed,  accuracy,  and capabilities are endless! I own an Air 3, 2 Air 2's, 2 Makers, and the Joy and this has blown them all away! As a small business owner this machine has reduce the amount of time I cut projects by half! I used to speed weekends cutting multiple items of the same template with 4 machines going now all I need is this one! As long as your willing to learn and put in the time the Venture will work for you!
My only con is that I cannot use my Maker scoring wheel.

Amazing!!!!!

The Venture really is geared more towards higher production crafters than to the casual user.  I find that the Cricut Maker I have is easier to use for my small projects for reasons such as the fact that the Venture does not use the scoring wheel tool, but only the scoring pen.  And though it says pens and things from the Maker will work in the Venture they only work if you stick wads of tape around them.  Finally, the Venture determines what size material you need to use and you can't vary from that so it's difficult to use scraps easily.  It does cut much faster and cuts wider and longer pieces, but if you don't plan on doing those type of projects often, I wouldn't recommend spending the money for this machine.

Probably Not For the Casual Crafter

I love the speed and the large format of the Venture and have been cutting mostly card stock on mats daily. I'm concerned about the back mat holder falling apart every time I move the holder and just recently noticed my mats curling on the edges. Otherwise, set-up and operation is pretty easy. Not convinced it's worth the price yet. I make items for personal/family use.

Easy to use

I got this to cut larger leather pieces for bags and other items that the regular maker can do.  Nope!  It's very limited and not like the advanced or industrial/professional version I thought it was.  You can do pretty much simple things larger and faster. Absolutely no use to me.

Very limited!

really wish it was made more clear that direct from role printing will only work with smart vinyl. super upseting they nerfed the machine by making it only work for 13" and 25" wide materials off a roll. I should have just went graphtec at this point. Sad becuase I have learned to love the Cricut brand. The makers are amazing machines for the price.

Go buy a graphtec instead

Total waste of a machine - only allows 13” or 24” paper which is not standard or you are required to have on a mat

Waste of money - don't buy!!
