This is a game many of us have been waiting on for a long time. The story of Zack. This takes place before Final Fantasy VII so it seems many of our unanswered questions will finally be laid to rest.
This tells the story of how Zack met Aries. The story of Cloud in SOLDIER, and Sephiroth's realization with his history and mother.
If you're a fan of FF VII, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis or just wanting to see what all the hype is about this is a must have game.

Good: It's a Final Fantasy game. Excellent gameplay, visually appealing and rather cheap for a FF series title.

Bad: nothing so far.

I will say however the fighting style differs from other FF games. It seems like a hit or miss whether people like it or not. I like it, as it is something new, but I do prefer the old turn-based style.

Final Fantasy

The perfect prequel to Advent Children! For a PSP game, the graphics for both the actual movie footage and the 3D graphics were definitely up to what I expected from Square Equix. Even if you don't know the Final Fantasy trilogy, this game is a very good way to kill time with many missions and a very interesting story line that will never leave you bored. I recommend this game very highly to everybody. It was the best buy I made in a long time.

I ordered the game online, and was shipped within two weeks--since I ordered a bundle pack--and the casing was neither dented nor ripped.

Amazing Game!

Seems to be a good game.  Arrived very quickly and well packaged for a decent price.
My son seems to enjoy it--so NO COMPLAINTS HERE.

MY SON LIKES IT!

I really got into this game, great graphics, good storyline, and lots of depth. I really got into the characters and actually became emotional at the end of the game. recommend to anyone who likes storyline as much as hacking stuff to bits.

Best PSP game ive played so far

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII tells the story of Zack. It takes place four years before the original Final Fantasy VII. Zack is a Shinra Soldier, and stays true to Soldier Honor!

The PSP game of Crisis Core is the most astonishing story in the Final Fantasy VII series so far! So far I have beaten the game about six times! My hope is that Tetsuya Nomura will soon create another sequel to the Final Fantasy VII series in the near future!

The story continues where it all began!

Iv never played a final fantasy before but one day i was at a friends house and he has final fantasy 7 crisis core for psp and i just so happen to bring my psp wdith me. When my friend let me play it i could not put it down. Now i want to play more final fantasy games from square enix! Best story line in thje world!

After playing Final Fantasy 7 many years ago, it felt good to play Crisis Core and learn how everything began. You take on the role of Zack, who's working his way through the ranks of SOLDIER under the watchful eyes of Angeal. Throughout the story, you learn more about some of the protagonists of Final Fantasy 7 including Cloud, Aerith and Sephiroth. Using a newly invented real time battle system and wielding many touching high definition cut scenes, you'd regret not picking up Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core.

A wonderful addition to the Final Fantasy 7 Series

This game is not what many people would expect. It isn't an RPG style game like the original Final Fantasy VII was. It is an action game based on the premise that Cloud is a new recruit and has to earn his license. This is set prior to FF VII for those who are familiar with the game. You run through many areas attacking monsters and gaining goods and experience to beat time requirements. It is not what I had expected out of it, knowing how X and then X-2 were, but I was still happy with it all around.

Not an RPG

If you are looking for a great Final Fantasy, keep looking. If you are interested in the prologue to Final Fantasy VII (arguably the best FF game to date) then this is your game. It is nice to watch the story unfold but its is extremely lacking. Controls are aweful. For those who remember materia, they are back but the use is limited. You can acquire hundreds of types but can only use 6.... Monsters are spawned by walking in an area and then fight ensues, after defeating the mobs, half the time you instantly repop them for a second round. Levels are obtained via a random spinning wheel so look to get 2-3 in 30 seconds or none for hours. Basically this is the typical Square Enix game. Awesome overall but it has too many flaws to work properly.

I am a die hard Final Fantasy lover but when I got this game was bored within 10 minutes. I havent played it since so in those terms I guess it was a waste of my money. I do not like this game and all and if you are thinking it is anything like Final Fantasy, it couldnt be farther from the truth.
