I bought this model on month ago after much debate over the other ‘cook and carry' models.. I loved that this model has a thermal shield as I constantly burn myself in the kitchen and it really does keep the exterior cooler to the touch.  This crock pot cooks beautifully and  it looks great too.. we've made a couple of different soups in it and the programmable  buttons are very simple and easy to set. So far I'm very happy with this purchase!!

Great Crockpot

Since I do travel with a crockpot from time to time, I was interested in the ThermoShield concept of staying cool to the touch while keeping food warm for traveling. I have used it only once but was pleased with the performance. This is a very substantial crockpot in weight and the appearance makes an impressive statement.

Fantastic easy to use slowcooker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love my new crock pot.   I love the outer heating pot that stays warm but not too hot.
Do not like  the latches on the lid or the hooks on the side of the heating pot.  Both hooks have come off which I have  been  superglued back on. The latches on the lid just get in the way

Crock pot

I love the crock pot. The cool to touch base is fantastic.  The lid seals well and clamps to base for no-spill transport.  Drawbacks are no delay start for overnight cooking.  And thee free carry bag does not fit the crock pot.

This is an interesting product.  It is expensive for a crock-pot and it was anticipated that it would provide extra benefits.  The fact that you can take it to an event and it will stay warm even though there is not electricity is a great benefit.  However, there should be a warning that the temperature during cooking, if it is in the ThermoShield, is a lot hotter than a normal Crock-Pot and you tend to burn the ingredients.  Also the heat setting is equal to the Low cooking setting.

Not as Expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The crockpot is beautiful however when cooking on low the food become so hot that it rapidly boils the contents causing the food to overcook.  There is not way to lower the temperature.
