Sound

Just picked this up , after proper set up and adjustment of needle things come to life, I have it hooked up to a Onkyo TX-RZ70 tuned with Dirac live and wow this unit is very warm and pleasant on the ear. Lots of dimension and full of layers in sound. I would recommend this to anyone with a setup that can take this unit to the next level.

Crosley Brands

The Crosley C100 turntable is an awesome unit. Upon unpacking quality construction is evident. The small amount of assembly required is very easy to do. The clear top cover is rather thin plastic and may scratch easily but functions fine. The big surprise is the performance of this turntable. It surpasses most every other turntable near it in price. Large extra soft feet dampen any vibrations. The tone arm swivels with no drag and with no bearing looseness. The counter weight on the tone arm had to be set higher than 3.5 grams to actually be at 3.5 grams. So I recommend you use a turntable stylus scale to set the tracking force. The controls are positive and work exactly as designed. The Crosley C100 turntable gets my vote for being the best buy in the under $150 category.

Great buy

Sure it's mostly plastic, what isn't, especially at this price?  I've owned mine two years now without any problems:   Any reviews that say the sound is "tinny" should refer that issue back to the AT cartridge supplied.  Same for the preamp.   Good looking unit!!

Very nice turntable

My wife bought this for me as a replacement for my 40 year old Technics turntable. I was skeptical at first, but after two years, I have grown to love it. Great sound, good features. I'll keep it.
