The people on here that said it broke had to used it wrong or put it up incorrectly. You must purchase a box spring and mattress and I think that they may have not done so. It goes perfect with the 7.5 half fold metal box spring by Mainstay

Got it for me 8 year old it is very sturdy %26 it was easy to build. I didn't need my husbands help at all. Took me bout 30 mins total to put together.

Love it

I was extremely skeptical making this purchase but knew that if it was a bad buy, all I had to do was return it.  I received the package this morning and was shocked to find that my 15 year old daughter put it together herself in less than 2 hours (including the time it took to dismantle old bed frame, clear out room, etc.).  She said she did have to make holes for the screws in some areas towards the footboard but otherwise, everything was very clear, no missing parts or damage.  
I dislike reviews that are based on the delivery of the package because they aren't technically rating the actual product, so I highly suggest ignoring those specific reviews.  There are also lots of reviews that rate this product solely based on how long it took put together, or the one's that claim it was defective and those aren't exactly good reviews to go by either.
This bed frame in a twin size literally cost about $75, so with that being said I would highly recommend this product for any budget.  Don't let the price fool you.  Just because it's cheap doesn't mean the frame isn't sturdy, strong, very fashionable and just right for everyday use.  Our plan is to use it daily for at least a year or two then move it to the guest room.  I purchased the additional two year warranty so I'm confident I will get my money's worth.  
Hint:  requires a box spring (at least 9" so that there aren't any gaps between mattress and headboard), no tools necessary other than a screwdriver or drill.

Talk About Great Value!

Great bed for my 9 year old, easy assembly, needs a box spring, a little shaky but hopefully box spring will help.

Not for long term use

Terrible bed. I got it for a toddler.  So any adults who want this I highly recommend getting something better.  Very weak bed and gaps all around ...

This bed only sits 3 inches off the ground. It will not work as a platform bed (as advertised) unless you have an 18 inch mattress or you want you head to be underneath the headboard. And the quality is bad and Horribly made. First the dowel peg holes were useless because they were pre-drilled way to large, and the dowel peg just dropped threw. The support slats are soft wood that snapped the first time I leaned on the mattress the make the bed. So yeah, literally broke before we ever even sat or laid on it, and that was with a bunkie board (as suggested) for extra support. Complete trash. See attached pictures.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Not only is it cheaply made but does not even fit a twin size mattress with or without a box spring. The wood slats did not even fit correctly to support the mattress. There was a 3 inch gap from the bed rails from the mattress. This is trash and I will be returning it. It wasn't hard to put together but the measurements are all off and therefore isn't sufficient or sturdy in any way.
