Fast Hard Drive

Purchased this to replace the 480GB SSD that was running low on space. Even with having the 480GB SSD installed for only 2 years the speed difference between the 480GB and 1TB SSD is noticeable. The new 1TB SSD knocked 1 second off the W10 boot up time (15 seconds). This new SSD will keep my 5 year old netbook in the game for a few more years.

Fast an easy install

After adding more DRAM to my 2012 desktop tower, I replaced the old 7200 rpm 1TB HDD drive with the Crucial 1TB SSD. The Acronis cloning software made it very easy. This SSD is incredibly fast upon start up, installing software, opening apps, scanning files, etc. The improvement in system performance is truly amazing!

Vast improvement over my old HDD

Easy to clone the old hard drive, lightening quick SSD, PC boots in 1/4 of the time. Also received great technical support.

I would definately buy again

I purchased one of these to replace my system Hard Drive in my Dell Laptop, I then formatted it in three partitions for Windows 10, Documents and Music, I then did a clean install of Windows 10, it activated first time with no hassle as laptop had already been upgraded to Windows 10 with it's existing hard drive so activation was a breeze. Laptop is far more responsive, fast and now complexly quite apart from when the CPU fan starts up, even then it's ultra quite.

What an excellent little device

I had SSD drive professionally installed by an independent computer/IT into my 2010 27inch Quad core i7 iMac. They informed me that it will fit in behind the optical drive (without losing the optical drive). Now I have a 1TB start up disk and 1TB storage drive. Boot up is 30 seconds as opposed to 5 minutes with stock hard drive. New life in what is still a great machine!

Best ever iMac Upgrade

I needed to replace a HHD in a used HP work station. The old drive was to small an could not be formatted. The new drive was easy to install . The process was tool less and literally a snap took about two minuets. Up and running in 5 minuets. I will do it again on other computers.

Works as expected

I have 2 of these installed in a 5 yearr old laptop. It beats all the newer laptops for connectivity and functionality.

My 3rd purchase of similar Crucial products

Have only used this drive for 3-4 months, for less than 100 hours, and the drive failed. Ratings on other sites reflect this issue. This was paired with a very high quality motherboard, case and many case fans and surge / battery backup, so heat etc. was not a factor. Have used Crucial products, since the early 90s, and may not purchase their products again.
