Great toaster, matched the other kitchen appliances. I really like the ease of pushing the lever down, it just slides down and locks, unlike the previous one that wobbled and had to be held down and operated with two hands.

Wonderful, wonderful toaster, it browns quickly & evenly on all types of bread. May it be thick, thin, or a bagel.  I've been wanting to replace my old toaster for over two years. The old toaster took forever to toast, and I had to do several cycles to get it light brown. wished I had done it sooner. 

I'm always very pleased with the quality & performance of Cuisinart products. And they seem to last forever.

well worth it

As stated in many testing reviews, this is one of the few that gets the most "bang for the buck." Read the reviews for performance and pricing information. My family is very pleased, including our four-legged family member Mio-chan, who loves crunchy toast.

Price and Performance

Great item! It's super easy to use and there's lots of settings to choose from. Love the crumb tray that's easy to pull out and empty. Would recommend this product. The first few toasts there was a weird burning smell but I think it was just the new appliance smell. It's still good, don't freak out.

Great toaster!

Pretty and compact!  Slots are too short for artisan bread so
I cut them in half to get each end toasted at same time.  This appliance is so quiet, I don't even hear it when toast pops up.  I would sh the darkness settings were a little more dark, as I like heavy toasting.

Tasty toast quietly!

I purchased this toaster with an expectation that I would be disappointed despite the Cuisinart name. I am pleased to say that turned out not to be true! From the first time I put a slice of bread in, the toaster has consistently toasted my bread evenly and perfectly. I would recommend it to anyone , excellent value for the money!

Great value, excellent toast!

Great size, easy to use, purchased to replace a 2 slice Cuisinart that toasted its last slice but the dial? It spins and spins and I'm still not confident my bread will be toasted correctly-just right AKA Baby Bear. I don't like it too dark nor do I want it barely toasted. The selection dial seems to freely spin making me wonder if it's attached at all. I did some dummy testing with white bread hot dog buns-I never eat white bread. I was getting varying shades of barely toasted to carbon. Too much trial and error involved & just hoping I don't burn my multigrain or sourdough.

Will the dial work?

This Cuisinart toaster was a replacement for a Cuisinart toaster very similar which I purchased about 15 years ago.  It has been a great toaster, but it was time for a new one.  It is toasting my morning bagels evenly and the size of the toaster fits well on my countertop.

Cuisinart Compact Toaster Replacement

I have bought, and will continue to buy Cuisinart products, but the two slice toaster i recently purchased is subpar in comparison to my previous toaster which was 10 years old. It doesn't toast evenly on both sides and the settings are inconsistent. Disappointed on this one.

Inconsistent Toasting

A big disappointment! Do not buy! One side of the bread toasts and the other side BURNS.
