I love my new 4 slice Cuisinart toaster! The slots are plenty big for wider sliced homemade bread and toast nicely. I like that I can adjust the two different sides to different cooking times. I have a white toaster and it looks very nice on my counter.

This light weight toaster is awsome!  It has many settings for a variety of toasting needs. We had a toaster( I won't name drop here), let's just say it is a well known name in the cooking industry, that from day one only toasted on one side of the bread/bagels.  It also took a long time to heat up and required multiple  attemps to get the desired darkness to what ever we were toasting.  This Cuisinart toaster works the 1st time & everytime we toast something and it toast's to perfection on both sides of the bread/bagels.  It's fast & efficient. This is well worth the money for a very reliable product.

quality & functionality !

Saw this recommended in Wirecutter. Great toaster, does everything from bagels to large slices of bread, but doesn't take up a lot of counter space. Got mine in black and it looks great on my kitchen counter. Two separate sets of controls so you can toast bagels and skinny pieces of bread at the same time and everything comes out perfectly. Easy to clean separate crumb trays too.  Best toaster I've had in ages and at a nice price point.

Great buy, great performance

I haven't bought a toaster in quite awhile, but some reviews I read said that this toaster was a winner. I have been happy with it so far. It does what it's supposed to do: it toasts bread. We are still learning the toaster and how to play with the toasting times to get a good result. We had a 2-slice toaster before this, but this toaster doesn't take up much more space than the old toaster, so that's a plus, too.

4-Slice Compact Toaster

This toaster does its job fairly well. While all sections of the wires of the heating elements do eventually glow, some sections glow brighter than others throughout the toasting time. In spite of this browning is relatively even, although the areas closest to the more convex, thus prominent, sections of the heating elements toast darker. The wire heating element is somewhat unevenly spaced in sections of its course.The push down handles are flimsy and slightly loose. The cancel and high- lift features are helpful. The overall design is pleasingly clean.

Does the Job.

I puchased this toaster becase of the cuisinart name. My previous toaster was a cuisinart which I had for 30 yrs, therefore I was Mistakingly expecting a quality toaster. In use less than a month and now only the bottom half of the bread toasts. I guess im stuck with it for now, researching a replacement.

Half Toast

I'm very sad that this is more flimsy and doesn't put the toast down on the first try - sometimes 3-4 tries and only toasts on one side.  I should have just kept my old one.

Not like the past ones

For the first couple times I used it the lever would stick in the down position. After forcing it up a couple times it started popping up okay. Biggest issue is no matter what setting I use it toasts very uneven. Dark on one side light or not toasted at all on the other.

Uneven toast.

This toaster is okay.  It has very ‘loose' knobs that can accidentally be moved, so if you select 3 as the toaster setting and accidentally touch the knob, it can move to the 4 or higher setting.  The push down start knob it touchy so you must be firm.  The heating elements do not heat up the same so your toady is uneven in doneness.  I do like that there are 4 slots and some added settings for bagels or defrosting.  Also, my husband cut his finger on a sharp edge around the slots which should have a rolled edge.  Overall, it is just okay.  Our old version of this toaster was so much better until the elements stopped working (we had for 25 years).  I am disappointed with this toaster, but will live with it.

Beware of oddities

We bought this to replace an older model of the same toaster because the older toaster did. It toast on both sides of the bread evenly. We were disappointed to find out this new model also did. To toast evenly at all. We had to return it.
