Have used this about a half-dozen times in the month I had it.  As long as you follow the directions (don't over- or under-fill) you will have very satisfactory results.  Very few un-popped kernels and NO burned popcorn.  Cleanup is quick, with most parts dishwasher safe.  Results are far superior to any microwave or stovetop methods.
Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a better way to make popcorn.

A great way to make popcorn!

My son gave this to me for Christmas.  I didn't think I wanted it, but I have been very pleased.  It makes popcorn that tastes great without an oily or burned mess to clean up.  Works quickly with very few unpopped kernels.  I like this popcorn maker a lot.

Great popcorn without fat and no burning

I absolutely loved this air popper for the first three months. Everything popped quickly and I loved that it doesn't use any oil. Unfortunately, now it only works about half of the time. The fan has seemed to diminish in strength and the popcorn gets stuck in the machine. Now, the last third of the popcorn gets burned if I don't turn it off before it's done and dump out what's left. Maybe I got a lemon…

Happy at first, now disappointed.

Fair at best.  I expected much better from a good brand like Cuisinart and knowingly paid more for this unit compared to competitors due to their reputation for good products.  Popper pops well but as the heat hopper fills with popped popcorn it jams at the top of the hopper and the popcorn remaining in the hopper below the jam burns if you dont catch it and un-jam it with a long spoon.  This can be prevented by tipping the unit forward by propping it on a couple of pot holders.  Seems an unacceptable work-around to get it to make popcorn as it is supposed to work.

Not Happy with purchase.

This was a disappointing purchase, I'm sorry to say.  I've always loved my Cuisinart small appliances for their sturdiness and fine looks.  This popper is beautiful and made of good materials.  I've used it 5 or 6 times, and each time it spews out around 25% of the kernels unpopped.  I've experimented with using smaller or larger amounts of kernels but get the same results.  The worst thing is that my organic, healthy popcorn pops with such force that it blows the clear plastic top right off of the machine!  It's not as much fun as you might think: kernels and popped corn all over the counter top and floor.  Not fun to clean up.  The kernels that pop are fluffy and big.   But I used to have an old fashioned Presto air popper that i used for around 20 years.  It was the perfect popper and made between 500 and 1,000 large bowls of perfect popcorn every time for many, many years.  I got rid of it because the plastic top was cracked and the plastic had turned yellow from so much hot use -- still usable, tho.  It had a base that was between 2 and 3 " taller than this Cuisinart, which helps only popped kernels to blow out, and not so many unpopped ones.  I used a small steel wool pad (lets the hot air blow through it) under the Cuisinart to tilt it backward a few degrees as I had seen in some of the reviews, and that reduced the unpopped kernels to around 20%.  I'm pretty sure the base should be at least 2" taller.  Can't help but wonder who designs these inferior air poppers?  It couldn't be anyone who loves popcorn -- and their teeth!  I've noticed that other Cuisinart products made these last few years are also cheaply made, in my opinion.  What's the use of mass producing inferior products that only become landfill after a short amount of time?  Sorry to say, I feel really let down by products that used to be so good, but have now forced us to become used to inferior quality, and we may never again know how good and dependable our small appliances can be.

Very good looking, but unimpressive

I bought this hot air popper after reading the reviews because I thought my old one was breaking. I finally got it out of the box to use it and plugged it in to the outlet and heard a popping sound and smelled smoke. I unplugged it and waited a little bit and tried again and heard a weird sound and smelled smoke again. Now it's sitting in a box. Im very disappointed with my purchase especially since I never got to try it out.

Broke first time plugging in

I had to return the popper. The first time I used it, after a minute the popper began smoking. I stopped the popper and when I removed the top the popcorn was in a blackened clump. The next day, I tried it again and it lasted over a minute when the popcorn was in a blackened clump.

Disappointed

The air popper created a lot of unpopped kernels and for those that it did pop, they seemed a bit burned.  Definitely a horrible air popper and we've had multiple air poppers in our lifetime.  I really did like the red color and the Cuisinart brand, but this one was a huge disappointment.

Worst air popper ever

We bought by brand name, but were unhappy.  The first batch of corn smoked and stuck together in lumps.  The second batch repeated the process.  Only about 75% of the kernels were properly popped and edible.  We returned the popcorn maker for a refund.
