I used this for chocolate making.  Theres such a small window of temperature range when working with chocolate.  It was accurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to burn food or undercook grilled food all the time. Now that I know my grill is at the right temperature, everything I've made has turned out fantastic and perfectly cooked.  I live in Texas and we grill out year round. This will get a ton of use and I'm never grilling without it again!

Super easy to know the temp is perfect!

Its good but I dropped it once and the buttons stopped working. I had to slap it around  to get it to register again

Good

This thermometer is extremely lightweight and straightforward. I use it on a smoker and griddle. Just aim, shoot and the temp will appear. Use as directed and don't test it on yourself.  A little pricey but I expected it from Cuisinart.

Easy, fast and accurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a gift.  At first I wasn't sure what I would use it for.  Then after a week or so I found a few uses for this tool.  First off if you are cooking on a grill you can easily tell where the hot and cold spots are on the grill.  This is nice to know plus to actually know the temperature of the grill.  The other nice use of this product is to walk around my house and gauge the temperature between rooms and areas of a room.  Interesting to see how much warmer my upstairs area is than my downstairs.  I would recommend this product as something I didn't know I needed but enjoy having.

Wasn't sure what I would do with it

Seemed to work ok on surface temp's at around 60° to 360 °. Oven temp set a at 425° reads 405°. freezer set at 5° reads -47°. Chest freezer set 0°  errored out. All temps were verified by 2 other thermometers . I may have just got a bad one but will not be replacing it after return. As I see no real use for it except as a toy. It may work good on a pizza stone or grill as other people say, But really just heat your oven up to temp and leave about 15 min. and if the oven temp is right then the stone will be also.

Maybe you can use it.

This only lasted a short time on each battery change. Maybe taking a temperature reading 15 times or so. Six months later a set of new batteries will only last for one temp reading. I'll be cautious of buying any Cuisinart going forward.
