I really like this food slicer. So far is working great for what I wanted it for. I like to smoke turkey breast and beef to make my own deli style lunch meats and this has worked great for that. I also use it for slicing cheese. It is simple to use and easy to take apart to clean. I' d recommend for sure.

We bought this slicer primarily for homemade bread. So far, it does  an excellent and quick job of an entire loaf. Before we purchased this, we were using a little manual slicer with measured slots, and this new electric one takes about one tenth of the time! Highly recommended,

Cuts Bread Slicing Time Down By 90%!

Size good for our small counter space.  Does not slide, sets firm on counter while in use.  Easy to assemble; clean and reassemble.  Cuts great.  Adjuster knob readily accessible & moves easily to cut various sizes.  Have had no issues. Very pleased.

Just what we needed

Needed a slicer for turkey breast and eye of round roasts. Family is fond of sandwiches.  I wasn't sure if this product was going to satisfy our needs since I wasn't looking for a commercial slicer just one to use once every week or so.  Well,
it is one of the best purchases we've ever made.  Not only easy to use but relatively easy to clean.  Haven't had any problems using it on beef eye of round roasts and turkey breasts.  Being able to slice the meat into desired thin portions that can be layered on toasted sandwich rolls my family likes them better than restaurant sandwiches.  If you're looking for a casual appliance to compliment your kitchen tools I'd highly recommend this product.  Great value for the price.

FANTASTIC BUY

I was mildly surprised at the quality of this food slicer!  It is compact in size and is easy to operate and clean.  I recently purchased a Cuisinart bread maker and this slicer cuts the bread so well.  I was told the slices of bread were "magazine quality"!!!!!!  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product.

The slicer is works well and is a great at home small appliance for the price. The adjustable width doesn't stay true to size as slicing so that is a bit frustrating.

Great slicer for home.

I have a problem slicing meatloaf thin enough for use on sandwiches with a knife and cutting board.  Using this slicer, I was able to slice the last meatloaf thin enough.
Also, we had a store with a butcher who could slice sirloin butt thin enough to use for steak sandwiches; however, he retired and we have been unable to find one who could slice properly.  I was able to purchase a roast and slice it properly.

Comments on Kitchen Pro Food Slicer

I believe Cuisinart puts out some great products. Keep in mind you get what you pay for, and the price was fair enough; just expected a bit more based on sales information.

This slicer was to replace our older one that finally became too old to continue to get repair parts for. Though this Cuisinart model is not as sturdy and easy to clean, it will fit our present needs.

Most slicers allow for a bit more disassembly of those surfaces that come into contact for the food items that are or have been sliced. This Cuisinart model does not, and if you choose to clean some the these it requires tools and unnecessary difficult removal. So in the meantime a toothbrush and pipe cleaners--reminded me of my Army days--are required to get any residual material out of the crevices other areas that will contaminate future foods when used.

A simple modification both the complete slicing carriage, and the slice control backplate would help make a more through cleaning of these surface areas easier and more efficient.

In regards to complete and total durability; that is yet to be determined. There are plastic/nylon gears, no belt, and a bit more plastic housing parts than a more expensive model might or would have. We have used a number of times and to date meets--can't say exceeds--our expectations.

Overall, as stated earlier this Cuisinart slicer would be great for those "weekend kitchen warriors"; for us it "will do" but again falls short of our initial expectations.

I think the blade could be larger.  We are mostly using it to cut beef for jerky.  We are cutting it partial frozen and try not to over stress the slicer.  We also notice that the motor can be smelt went it heats up signaling that the slicer needs a break.

First time it works fine second time the blade stop turning. You could hear the motor but the blade didn't turn
