This toaster is a nice upgrade to our previous one. I like the fact that the slots are wide enough for bagels, which we eat frequently. It's also very easy to dial in the type of toast you want and how dark you want it. That alone makes it a great toaster.

It toasts evenly on all sides of the bread or bagel.

Back in 2006 we had our kitchen remodel. New pots and pans, knives and a new toaster. The toaster was a 4 slice Cuisinart. That original toaster lasted 19 years. Unfortunately I had to replace it. I purchased a small 2 slice toaster from a different company. It didn't last long in my house. Now I have my favorite 4 sliced Cuisinart back. I'm very happy and so is my toast.

Love the nice selection for either toast your bagel or regular toast, you can select toasting frozen items to even a reheat option. 
It toasts items very quickly to the perfect color.  The red color on the toaster truly pops in my kitchen. 
Definitely recommend this toaster

5 star toaster

Love that it toasts 4 slices fairly consistently. We have used it every day for a year.

Only downsides are the first few days it was offgassing a lot of chemical smell, but then it went away. So air it out first. And ours stopped heating well after a year, some issue with the coils. But Cuisinart replaced the unit for free.

Overall, our family loves this toaster

Good toaster. Slots are wide on top and it is easy to use. Only thing I would want to make a potential buyer aware of, is if you get the stainless steel and black color option...the black appears to be more of a dark gray in color and not as dark as the pics show on websites. If you are looking for a rich color black and trying to match this up with something in your kitchen...you may want to look at something different!

Works and functions as it should!

Not what I expected. I thought I was getting a newer version of my old Cuisinart, but this is not as good. The crumb trays are in the back vs the front which makes no sense! Also, if the toast isn't quite done, you can't just push it down again immediately. Not happy; also I think the slots are a little narrower.

Good but…

This is my third Cuisinart toaster. Actually my 4th if you count the warranty replacement on my second. My first was the 4 slice, as is my recent. My second was the 2 slice. They get used daily. Cuisinart handled the warranty well so I felt no reason to consider any change. The current model i had to learn that toasting my bread out of the freezer I had to turn almost to full setting as well as select the freezer setting to get my perfect toast. I am happy with my selection.

My 3rd, actually 4th, Cuisinart toaster

Bought this to replace an old 1970's toaster that finally gave out. I like the old timey look, but it doesn't work as good. Not all heaters heat up at the same time, so depending on what you're toasting you have a lot of trial and error to get it right. For me over all,I can work with it.

It's a good toaster...

I purchased this toaster based on a recommendation from wirecutter. The pros are, I like the size of the toaster, it toasts quickly, it looks professional and has the features I was after. I'm disappointed that the bagel button does not toast one side of bagel but both sides and just extends the toast cycle. In my mind, this is not what a bagel button is supposed to do. Another disappointment, is that the toasty lever when pushed feels a bit cheap and tinny, would like a more positive feel.

A Good Toaster, but…

The toaster works okay but has its flaws. The results are uneven across a single piece of bread. When the toast cycle is over, the toaster stays silent, so you have to watch it closely. You can't check toasting progress without canceling it entirely. And now I'm tired of thinking about it.

It toasts

Purchased full price. Went on sale the next day. Poor poor quality. I've tried all 4 toasting slots and one side of bread is soft and one is toasted. It's way too expensive not to toast evenly. Will not ever purchase Cuisinart again.
