Love this toaster. Yeah, I know it's "just a toaster", but this is my second go around with this particular toaster. The first one I had for over 20 years!!!! The push down lever broke due to something falling up against it. I was heartbroken! I was thrilled this model still existed -- had to buy again. Best toaster IMHO.

BEST Cuisinart 4 Slice Metal Classic Toaster

We bought this to replace an older version of Cuisinart 4 slice toaster which had worn out after over 12 years' use and a cross country move.  We love the smaller footprint of this model that still retains all the features we have come to expect.  We're looking forward to the next 12 years.

Everything Needed for a Replacement Toaster

We have the four slice Cuisinart toaster, what a wonderful appliance. Looks great on the counter, but works so well, able to satisfy all tastes, from light to dark toast, bagels, waffles, etc! Great choice for a family , and it is a great quality product.

Best toaster

I've been using my new 4 Slice Metal Classic Toaster for a few weeks now, and it consistently produces perfectly golden-brown toast every time. I've experimented with all its settings and even branched out to toasting English muffins and bagels. Each comes out crisp on the outside and soft inside. I especially love how the butter, cream cheese, jam, and even honey melt beautifully right after toasting, creating that café-style breakfast feel at home. It's quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances!

4 Slice Metal Classic Toaster

Love that it toasts 4 slices fairly consistently. We have used it every day for a year.

Only downsides are the first few days it was offgassing a lot of chemical smell, but then it went away. So air it out first. And ours stopped heating well after a year, some issue with the coils. But Cuisinart replaced the unit for free.

Overall, our family loves this toaster

Good toaster. Slots are wide on top and it is easy to use. Only thing I would want to make a potential buyer aware of, is if you get the stainless steel and black color option...the black appears to be more of a dark gray in color and not as dark as the pics show on websites. If you are looking for a rich color black and trying to match this up with something in your kitchen...you may want to look at something different!

Works and functions as it should!

The Cuisinart Toaster has an excellent price point among competing brands.  Cuisinart is a name you can trust.  This is my second four-slot Cuisinart toaster.  I noted some differences which makes this experience different.  The toaster lever must be softly lowered and held in the on position.  Moving it down quickly will not engage the toaster.  The lever will return to the up position.  This creates a learning curve for the user.  In all other respects it operates well with the same functionality including a selection for bagels and defrost.

Great value for four -slot Cuisinart Toaster

I received this as a Christmas gift. It works great as far as toasting. My only issue is the bread slots are very narrow and it's hard to put buns or bagels or larger size items in it. I put a bun inside it and it was so tight pieces of it broke off and were burning in the coils. Definitely a design flaw.

Narrow openings

The toaster works okay but has its flaws. The results are uneven across a single piece of bread. When the toast cycle is over, the toaster stays silent, so you have to watch it closely. You can't check toasting progress without canceling it entirely. And now I'm tired of thinking about it.

It toasts

We replaced our Cuisinart 4 slice toaster with a new Cuisinart 4 slice toaster and their quality has gone downhill. The handle needs to be pushed down numerous times to stick on both sides and it is not toasting evenly. The new version is smaller and more lightweight and does not hold the wide loaf bread pieces that the old one did.  We are considering returning it.

Not the quality we expected from Cuisinart.

Purchased full price. Went on sale the next day. Poor poor quality. I've tried all 4 toasting slots and one side of bread is soft and one is toasted. It's way too expensive not to toast evenly. Will not ever purchase Cuisinart again.
