Grinder disperses grounds outside of container during use.

Can be inconsistent, but often produces excellent results.

Allows for easy operation with multiple adjustments.

Can be precise and consistent, but may generate static and mess.

Good product - like that i can leave beans in hopper until needed and that the display is easy to read.  The only thing I would change is the default cup setting.  I unplug it after each use, and I wish it "remembered" the last number of cups selection instead of defaulting to 12 when i plug it back in.  But thats a minor inconvenience.

My morning coffee brings me such joy, that I treated myself to a coffee grinder to make my day start off even better. After doing a lot of research, I chose this grinder. I like how it grinds the exact amount you need. It's not loud either. Glad I made this purchase.

Best Start of the Morning

I was using a blade grinder for years and decided to plunge into the world of burr grinding.  I shouldn't have waited so long!  This grinder is amazing: Quieter than my blade grinder and has a ton of features.  Very consistent grind and easy to clean.  I would 100% recommend this grinder to anyone (in fact, I already have).

What an upgrade from a blade grinder!

Nice grinder. A little louder than I expected but OK. Just right size. Simple operation and grind control. Should last a while, won't get real heavy use. Very 'clean' design and looks. Good match to my Cuisinart coffee maker. I like being able to custom blend beans to get more interesting flavors.

The conical burr grinder takes coffee to a whole new level. the only problem I'm finding with it after a months use is the static the plastic container that catches the grinds makes it messy when taking in or out. also this one in particular needs some knocking on or shaking to get the grinds out or they'll drop when you take out the catch. Other than that a conical burr grinder does take coffee to a whole other level especially if your like me and also run a small espresso occasionally and need the grind a little finer. The mill grinds coffee to a perfect selectable level. It is consistent in texture every time. It does a fairly good job at determining when to auto stop for how many cups you have selected. The only complaint, and it's not a small one either, is that there's a lot of static where the grounds stick to the plastic like a magnet and get scattered everywhere afterward if you're not really careful. Ends up on the counter, etc.

Perfect Grind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first burr grinder and it seems to produce mostly uniform course grinds for my French Press (its basic job) and was less expensive than others.  My main complaint is that it produces fine coffee dust around the reservoir needing cleaning after each use.

Produces a uniform grind

Some major problems: the grind setting is not accurate - it displays what is the smallest grind for a drip coffeemaker but it is not ground enough; grinds escape for all around the bottom container, makes a significant mess on the counter and finally, there is no on/off switch so the light on the display is on all the time - unplug the mill?, how inconvenient is that?

Dissapointed

Grinder throws coffee grinds EVERYWHERE. If you don't (literally) brush off the grinds off the base on the machine, than the slide-in canister doesn't properly register to the on-enable switch and the grinder will not run.

This is the second time we've bought this model. Assumed that after 10 years, Cuisinart would have addresses the design issues.... but NOPE, the new one is actually WORSE than the original. Disappointed with what should be a premium product.

Coffee Mill - NOT Recommended.

This was the worst coffee grinder I have ever owned. I returned it within two weeks which was not soon enough. 
- very noisy motor even when not actually grinding
- coffee receptacle seemed to have a great deal of static and ground coffee gathered on all sides
- coffee grounds spewed out when grinding and made cleanup essential after each grind
-grind settings seemed fine
