This coffee maker does all the work of the pour over process for you with just the touch of a button-resulting in a fresh, delicious cup of coffee! Definitely the best we've ever had. We grind the beans fresh each morning. I like the “extra hot” and “bold” settings because I like the flavor of coffee and it allows for me to add creamer and still have hot coffee. The carafe keeps the coffee pretty hot for a few hours, though it's definitely hotter the sooner you pour it after it's made. The coffee does pool a little at the top of the lid, but a quick wipe off will allow for a less messy pour. I would highly recommend this machine!

A quality product and is worth the higher price

Love this coffee maker! I have been researching automatic pour over machines for a long time and finally settled on this one. Reasons: brand name reputation, programmable, stainless thermal pot, beautiful design.  The machine is wonderful! Keeps coffee and hot water hot for hours, and I mean at least 3 hours if not longer. Coffee is pour over delicious and it is jot overly large. It does make a little noise sometimes, mainly when Im not using a paper filter and just brewing for hot water; a slurping noise that i believe is the specialty lid that makes it possible to brew through and not have air get in too much. Not a huge deal.  I also purchased a sleek wooden sliding tray to set it in so i can easily pull it out to fill.  Love it! Highly recommend!!

Perfect.

When I started looking at coffee makers it amazed me at how many terrible makers there are after so many years of making coffee. My old very simple one turned on if you whacked it just right so.... off we went. This one was suggested by some group of coffee snobs.  I guess they were right. It has a few options. You can use hot water or extra hot.You can have mild medium or bold or settings. We always use x hot as at our high elevation water can't get that hot anyway. And who drinks mild coffee?? So bold it is. It gives a very smooth cup of bold coffee as good as if you took extra time pouring it over. It has several holes for the water to come out so the coffee grounds get covered nicely. The carafe doesn't heat up like old style makers. It is insulated well. and you could set it on the table so you don't have to get up for more. And keeps it hot but doesn't burn it like old ones that heat it. It is pretty easy to clean up. Only con would be the tiny scoop they give you and possibly space issue as it sits sideways to the world if you had a tiny kitchen.

I prefer cleaning the carafe with vinegar and water because that's just how much anything else affects the taste.

I think this was a good investment. Coffee tastes pretty good whether it is freshly ground with the metal filter or with store bought ground coffee with paper filter.  The insulated carafe keeps things hot for a good while.  I'm not sure how dishwasher safe the carafe is because it audibly whistled for a while after being washed.

A delicate flower

Very good coffee-easy to use and clean,
the "most important" of aspects of a good coffee maker.
Quite happy with that.  However...
I find it annoying  that the instructions instruct to unplug after 
each use- if that is truly necessary spare the expense of putting a clock on the front
I can't imagine anyone looking forward to setting the clock with each use!!
...and pass it on to your consumers

Great coffee plus one annoying thing

I bought this pour over because it's really nice looking and easy to use. What ISN'T explained anywhere is that tthis method of making coffee emphasizes the acidity and I got a whopping stomach ache--I substituted the stainless filter for a paper one because I read online that this method with paper can help lower cholesterol. I've gone back to using my French press but will try this pour over again with the stainless filter and a LOW ACID coffee. Aside from this important information about the pour over method, it WORKS beautifully.

Acid stomach

The longer I use it the less I like it.  The only good thing is it hotter than others when brewed, but if the whole pot is not used at once it does not stay hot long.  Do not like shape or function of the pot.  I am about ready to give it Good Will and get out my old one.

Don't like it!

The brewer makes good coffee but the pour spout on the thermal carafe is poorly designed and a constant source of frustration as no matter how carefully we pour, coffee drips down the side of the pot.  Don't buy this machine unless you enjoy wiping up spilled coffee every time you pour a cup.

BEWARE

It would be a 5 star but the carafe drips and spills EVERYTIME I use it... Come on Whats going on... I would take this back for a full refund If the box hadnt gotten wet. You should hang your heads in shame for making an other-wise good product bad.!!!!

Watch out for the Drippy pouring EVERY Time!
